Ugh. Geez. I get back from Japan and the jetlag's the thing screwing me up?

Anyways, I'm really sorry about the late update - again.

Boy, do I wish school would never start again.

Hope everyone's been having a wonderful wonderful wonderful wonderful week! I'm personally feeling pretty good (besides the fact that school's starting soon)!

Maybe my happy will reach you? :)

Enjoy the new chapter!!

Itachi was walking through the village shopping area, looking for an excuse to pass time. He passed by the weapons store he and Rin had gone through on her birthday. The man who had insisted on buying Rin that keychain she wanted was still at the counter.

"Hey, it's you!" he said, catching his eye.

His natural politeness sent him into the store to greet the old man.

"Good afternoon." He bowed.

"Where's the girlfriend?" the cashier asked. "You two didn't break up, did you?"

"Huh?!"

He laughed jollily.

"I mean, I thought it was sweet that she was looking at the shooting star keychain that day, you know? On her birthday, with a boy... It was perfect! I'm a sucker for romance stories, you know, so don't disappoint me!"

The Uchiha's jaw dropped.

He had only internally laughed that day at females' tendencies to buy small, cute objects.

He had not expected it to be a shooting star.

Glancing up, the teen found the old man still looking expectantly at him.

"I-I... uh... We, uh, we never really-"

Sasori stared at the screen intently.

"You'll need glasses soon, Saso-chan," Akira said.

"Is he gonna say it? Is he gonna say it?" Harumi asked, jumping up and down in anticipation. "It'll piss Sasori off sooooooooo much!"

The redhead whirled around.

"Hey! First of all, it's the afterlife, so eyes don't degrade! Second, HARUMI!

The blonde laughed.

"Here's the deal. You can lie to me and tell me stories about how you're dating currently - or, if you're actually dating, that's all the better! - or you could tell me that you broke up and I'll lose the discount on everything you peeps with the clouds buy here. You know, if you keep me entertained with your 'true stories,' I'll have discounts for all of ya! Whatcha say??"

Itachi stepped back in shock. A million possibilities, choices, and outcomes rushed through his head at once.

He sighed.

"Okay, fine. I'll tell you a story."

Sasori crossed his arms, feeling somewhat proud of Itachi but somewhat upset.

"He avoided the question!" Harumi cried, pouting. "He didn't say they were dating!"

"That's why the Akatsuki's good, Haru." Sasori flashed a pleased grin at her. "And Itachi's a good boy."
