Work was normal but you were still pretty tired. You smelled like hot oil and your hair was in a messy bun. Your dad wasn't home yet so you flicked off your shoes and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.
Once you got out of the shower you dressed yourself in some pajamas and turned on your laptop.
You grabbed your favorite blanket and started to play your favorite movie when your laptop started to....ring?!?!
You pressed the little 'call button' and sat up.
"YOU ANSWERED!!!! And you're wearing pajamas." Sean smiled. He looked really excited to see your face. You were just happy to see him smile. But it never came across your mind that Sean was smiling because of you.
"Yeah. I totally forgot we where gunna do this Skype thing. I'm not used to this." You say, wrapping the blanket around you to cover up your pajamas.
"I'm so excited for you to come over!! And I can't believe you got into that college!! I'm so proud of you!!!" Sean's Irish accent made him sound so manly that you're heart started to melt when he said 'proud'.
"It was nothing. Just a lot of studying." You blush.
"That's still pretty cool. I've got your room all cleared out. That means I've made room for all your junk." He smirked.
"Yup. I don't have too many things. It's like five or six boxes. And they're not that big." You look over at the boxes. Only one of them was packed.
You sigh.
"What's wrong?" Sean asks.
"Nothing. I'm fine-" you look back at Sean but he wasn't there. The lighting in his room was off and it was glitching like crazy. The screen would change from shades of green to shades of red.
You had heard of Skype glitching like crazy but not there being different colored filters.
That's when you saw a man's hand reach for the screen. It looked like it was going to grab something or someone. You felt your neck get tight and it was getting hard to breath. Your spine straightened and your arms locked up.
The glitch only lasted for less than a minute but it felt like three paragraphs. Your neck loosened along with your body and you could see Sean again. He looked rough. Like he was tired. His eyes were a little blood shot and his neck was red.
"Sean? Are you okay?" You ask.
"Yeah. Are you okay?" He replies.
"You look like a mess." You say.
"So do you." Sean says. He looks like he's having a hard time breathing.
"What just happened?!" You start to shake.
"Something not good." Sean rubs his red neck like it was still bothering him. "I don't think it's a good time to come down. Maybe we should wait another month."
"What?! No way!! That'll leave use with less time to spend together! I don't want to do that!" You stern you voice a little. You really didn't want to wait any longer then you already have.
"Listen," Sean's voice was firm as he held his hand out a tad bit. You notice it and it looks almost like the hand you saw in the glitch. "It's not a good idea. If what I think is happening, I don't want to get you involved. It's to dangerous."
"What do you mean?" You clutch the bill of the cap Sean gave you. It was sat in your lap for the longest but you totally forgot it was there.
"It's not safe for you here with me. We're gunna have to wait a little while longer. I've got to wait this out." Sean wouldn't look at you.
"Sean, what's dangerous?" You're heart stopped at his response.
"I'm dangerous." Sean gave you a smirk. His skin went pale and his eyes looked dark.
Your computer shut down. You tried everything to get it working again but nothing would work.
You messaged Sean but he would even look. You tried calling him but he wouldn't answer.
Something was wrong. Sean needed you. You were going to see him.
