There was a room for Creators, or youtubers, that was filled with snacks, drinks, places to sit, and free WiFi. You slipped into the room to escape all the loud cheers from the crowds.
You paced the floor, thinking about your dad. You got this weird feeling like something bad was about to happen. You checked your phone to see if he had messaged you or tried to call.
Nothing.
You kept pacing. You've always worried about your dad but it has never been this bad.
Sydney stepped into the room to check on you. You told her you just needed some space to breath.
She offered to walk you outside but you didn't want to get to far away from Sean and the stage, so she backed out of the room and said she'd come back in a few minutes.
A few minutes pass by and you try calling your dad. You wait as it rings. It goes to voicemail and you leave a message.
A few more minutes pass and someone swings open the door. It was Sean.
"What are you doing? Don't you have a show?" You ask.
"I do, I know, but I wanted to check on you. I looked over and didn't see you standing with Mark. Sydney pointed toward here and I faked a mic problem to come and see you." He explained.
"Why? You need to be out there with them, not in here with me. I'm okay. I just wanted to check on my dad. I'm worried about him. I hate not being with him, especially when he needs me."
Sean tries to take your hand but you pull it away before he can. It was out of habit. You never liked it when someone tried to comfort you when they didn't understand. It made you resent them for not knowing.
"You have a show to get back to. You have people out there waiting. Don't stop because of me." You say, never looking up at him.
Sean doesn't say anything else. He gets up and walks back out the door. After a few seconds you hear the crowd start acting up again.
You try and call your dad again.
After about twenty minutes or so, Sydney comes running in. "Get up! Something's wrong! Mark said to come on!"
Without disagreeing, you get up and run back to where Mark was. The crowd was still acting up and getting super loud. You noticed a girl standing at the podium that was set up in the middle of the aisle, a mic and light was attached to it for people to get in line and ask questions. The girl seemed a bit off, like she had asked a rather serious question and was waiting for a real answer.
It was like the crowd wanted to know the answer more than she did.
Then you looked at Sean, he seemed uneasy and nervous. You could tell he didn't like the question, whatever it was.
"What's wrong?" You finally ask.
"Some creepy girl asked about 'You-Know-Who'." Sydney whispered.
"Voldemort?" You joke.
"No! A-n-t-i!" She shout whispered.
You stiffened. Something wasn't right. Sean was hurting. He was struggling. He was...bleeding?
He was!
Sean turned to look at you all, maybe to you, maybe to Mark, but he turned. His nose was bleeding heavily and he looked pale.
You wanted to run to him but Sydney had grabbed your arm to keep you from it. Bob and Wade where running around finding security and managers to shut the show down and trying to find a medic for Sean. The stage lights turned off and Mark ran after Sean, who was in the middle of passing out.
