Jack: Hey?
Me: Yeah?
Jack: What happened yesterday?
Me: What? Oh that. What do you mean?
Jack: We were having a legit conversation and you just left. Is something wrong?
Me: It doesn't matter.
Jack: Yes it does! If something is bothering you I want you to feel comfortable talking to me about it.
Me: But what if there really is nothing wrong?
Jack: There is something wrong. You're avoiding the question.
Me: Well what if I'm not comfortable talking about it with you?
Jack: Okay. I'll take that then to have you push me away. You want space. I get that. But that's still not a good enough reason to not be comfortable.
Me: It's not really something that you tell someone on the internet.
Jack: I know. But I can still help.
That last message stuck with you. You didn't know who this guy was. Sure you've watched his videos non stop ever sense you found him but that's different. Watching videos is different. He's talking to a camera not you. Plus, thousands of people are watching too. He's talking to everyone.
You turn your phone off after you plug it up on the charger. You were not talking. Jack really wanted to help. That part was obvious. But you didn't. It really was just something that you don't tell people. If anyone knew, they'd freak out. Maybe. Sometimes you think they wouldn't even notice if you had.
It was pretty late but you still decided to check YouTube. Maybe something new was uploaded for you to watch. Your beat up laptop was your whole world. All the internet you could want. It was a way to escape.
Jack posted. You didn't notice a smile form on you cheek. Who was this guy that did this to you?
