Your POV
"Okay dad, you've got to keep and eye out for Sean for me okay?" You say, fixing his dress collar.
"Sean. Right. Who's he again?" Your dad asks.
"The guy I picked from the airport. He's coming to my graduation and I want you two sitting together so I don't have to run around on a wild goose chase." The collar wasn't letting you button it. It was starting to make you mad.
"Oh yeah. That boy." He rolled his eyes.
"Dad. You promised you'd behave." You say, finally getting the button to listen.
"I did. But he's a boy. I don't like boys. They're no good to you; you don't need them." He fixes his sleeves.
"Okay dad." You smile only a little.
Jack's POV
I woke up with Mark still asleep. He was snoring like an old man and it took all my strength not to laugh and wake him up. It wouldn't have mattered because after I got a shower and dressed, Mark woke up.
"You can still grab breakfast with us." He said, the red and brown colored hair mixing together.
"I've got to wait for her father at the auditorium." I say sheepishly.
"Her father?!?!" Mark was wide awake now. "This girl must really like you."
"It was my idea. I just thought it would be easier on her. Plus, it doesn't hurt to meet." I blurt out.
"You're so desperate." Mark says with a smirk.
"Shut up." I say, grabbing my room key and wallet before running out of the hotel.
---
Standing outside of an auditorium waiting for the father of your new found crush was hard. And yes I said crush.
I was like a walking highlighter. I just touched up my green hair before I came to the states so naturally I looked like that. I don't really think about it much but when it comes to people like FATHERS that's when I freak out about it.
I would wear a hat but they don't allow them inside.
I stood there for like twenty minutes when I got a message from (y/n).
-
Potato: Hey! My dad just parked so keep an eye out for him.
-And yes, I did change her name to 'Potato'. Please don't tell her!!!
-
Me: Okay. Thx. Tell him to keep an eye out for a green highlighter lol!!!
-She didn't answer back, I mean she had to get ready, because it was getting close for the ceremony to start.
That's when I saw him. He was tall, dressed to impress, and intimidating. I thought I was going to sweat to death!!!
He walked up to me and asked my name. I told him.
He handed me my ticket and headed for the doors. I followed.
He sat. I sat.
I tried to talk to him I really did. But every time I tried, it was like I was a ghost.
It was like this for a while until he finally said something to me.
"So, about my daughter?"
Crap! I knew this would happen! He's going to bring me down about talking to his daughter and how I need to stay away from her and stuff!!!!
"She's had a rough life. She lost her mom. Her father is a drunk jerk. But now she's got you."
"Pardon sir?" I asked on the edge of my seat.
"She's never really had someone in her life to look up to. Who could comfort her and care for her. So I thank you."
My eyes were wide and I'm pretty sure my mouth opened too.
"She really needs you Sean."
