"Ambrosia thank god! I thought something bad had happened to you," Thomas said, bear hugging me.

"I'm ok Thomas," I said, hugging him back.

Percy stood behind me, a bored look across his face.

"So touching." Percy smirked.

Thomas' posture stiffened and he let go of me, glaring behind me.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Guiding her home. The little Princess seems to have gotten herself lost and she needed the big bad wolf to lead her back," Percy said, smiling like a wolf about to strike.

"You-" Thomas fumed.

"Me what? You got a problem with me helping her Golden Boy?" Percy seemed unperturbed by Thomas' anger.

"I have a problem with you going anywhere her," Thomas said, grabbing the front of Percy's shirt.

"Then you shouldn't let her get lost," Percy smirked,"Maybe you should take better care of her."

Anger seemed to flash through his eyes as he glanced over at me, then back at Thomas.

"You son of a bitch!" Thomas pulled his arm back and punched Percy, so quickly I froze.

Percy held his jaw and smirked, spitting out blood.

The blood stained the snow red, a haunting murky rose red.

A trickle of blood came from his nose and he wiped it away, wiping his hand on his black pants.

"Well well Golden boy. I didn't think you were the type to punch heros. You must be a really bad guy," Percy smirked.

"Try me," Thomas snarled, pulling his arm back again.

"Thomas stop!" My paralysis broke and I grabbed his wrist, trying to prevent another fight.

Thomas turned round sharply, anger and hatred flaring in his eyes.

"Let-go," he said, his voice cold and harsh.

Fear chilled my blood and froze it in my veins, yet I refused to back down.

"No Thomas. You can't do this," I said, my grip tightening.

"Ambrosia let go. You don't know what he's capable of. He put you in the damn coma!" Thomas glanced back at Percy, murder in his eyes.

"Oh by every means, please try and kill me," Percy chuckled, raising an eyebrow smugly.

Thomas took another step towards him, only my hand stopping him.

I shot Percy a death glare. Not helping.

Percy shrugged as if to say, Hey, not my fault he's so aggressive.

"Thomas I know. But as much of a jackass as he is-"

"Hey! I'm not a jackass."

"-he saved me. And...he did get me back home."

Thomas' eyes flickered from my face back to Percy, unsure.

A pregnant pause passed until Thomas finally backed down.

"Fine. You're safe this time scumbag," he snarled, stalking back towards the house,"You coming Amb?"

"Yeah-uh I just need to tell Percy something," I responded, staring straight at Percy.

His grin widened as Thomas froze.

"It'll be quick. And I'll be safe. I promise," I said quickly, sensing his discomfort.

He looked at me then shook his head, muttering under his breath as he left.

"Thanks for the help there Princess. I didn't think you'd be the one to defend me," Percy said as he watched Thomas walk into the house.

"That was the last time, so don't get used to it." I took in a deep breath closing my eyes. When I opened them, Percy's cocky smirk greeted me.

"Percy you need to stay away from me. I defended you this time, but I don't think I'll be able to next time. Thomas...Thomas hasn't forgiven you for anything," I said.

Percy said nothing.

"Thank you Percy. I really appreciated the help back there," I said, preparing to leave.

"Does he love you?" Percy asked suddenly and I froze, caught unaware.

I blinked then nodded.

"Yes."

Percy nodded as if he knew the answer already.

"You're lucky Princess. Not many of us still have someone who loves us." He spoke as if from knowledge and his gaze was sad, almost mournful.

He turned his back to me, preparing to leave.

"Did you really do it?" I asked.

Percy stopped.

"Really do what?" He asked, looking at me over his shoulder.

"Did you really...hit me? Was it really you who put me in the coma?" I inquired, my voice uncertain.

Percy paused, a look of shame crossing his face so quickly I almost missed it.

Then his familiar smirk returned and he mock saluted me.

"See ya princess," he grinned, turning his back and walking away from me, his hands stuffed in his pockets once more.

I watched his figure recede, light snow falling and dusting his clothes, making him look like a ghost.
