"What is that?" I asked, setting my tray down.

Percy looked up, his cheeks stuffed with food.

He eyes widened when he saw me and he quickly swallowed, a smirk ruling his lips.

"Sweet and sour fried chicken with egg fried rice," he said, using his chopstick to pick up a piece of chicken.

I laughed as he stabbed the chicken with one of his chopsticks.

"That's how you use them?" I laughed.

Percy shrugged. "I never could get the hang of them."

He held the chopstick up to his mouth ,as I sat opposite him ,and popped the chicken in his mouth, chewing slowly as his eyes followed my every move.

"Is it any good?" I asked.

He smirked. "Yeah it's pretty good. Wanna try some?" He asked.

"Yeah I suppose."

After much struggling he finally managed to get a piece of chicken using both his chopsticks properly.

I waited for him to pass me the chop sticks, but instead he offered the piece of chicken.

"Go on, take a bite. I promise I won't pull it away," he laughed.

I leaned forward as he fed me the chicken and smiled.

"It's nice," I said as I finished chewing.

Percy opened his mouth to say something, but someone interrupted him.

"Making a move on my girlfriend already?" The voice held menace and venom.

Percy cleared his throat his eyes narrowing.

"I wasn't making a move on her," he said.

"You were just feeding her," Thomas replied, standing behind me.

"Just doing what you can't," Percy replied.

I stared ,speechless, as the two boys glared daggers at each other's.

"Lets go Ambrosia. This punks not worth it," Thomas snarled.

I stood up sharply, about to follow Thomas.

"No Ambrosia, sit," Percy said, standing up.

Thomas turned around sharply, a look of hatred spreading across his features.

"What do you mean 'sit'?" He asked.

"Well typically, sitting is when you put your ass on something and-"

"I know what sitting is you ass hole. I mean why are you telling her to sit?" Thomas snarled.

Percy gestured to our trays.

"Because in case you didn't notice, she hasn't finished eating her lunch," Percy said.

Thomas smashed his palm onto the table, causing all the trays to jostle.

"She's coming with me," he snarled.

Percy slammed his palm onto the table, a smirk on his lips.

"She needs to finish her lunch," he sneered.

"She's leaving. Now," Thomas snarled, looking at me.

He grabbed my wrist and stalked away, dragging me along.

I stumbled, looking back at Percy, a look of surprise on my face.

"Thomas I-"

"Shut up Ambrosia. I told you not to go anywhere near him and you blatantly ignored me," he said, his foot steps still way too fast for me to keep up,"You just ignored me and that hurts Amb."

"It was just lunch!" I protested. He dragged me into an empty hallway.

He stopped abruptly and turned to me.

"It wasn't just lunch Ambrosia. You ignored me and that counts as betrayal," he said.

"It was just lunch!"

His hand flew through the air and smashed into my cheek.

I stumbled backward and fell, my hand on my cheek.

Thomas stared down at me coldly.

"It wasn't just lunch. I told you not to see him and you ignored me. You disobeyed me," he said, crouching in front of me.

I clutched my cheek, tears stinging my eyes.

Thomas blinked and seemed to see me for the first time.

"Ambrosia I did it for your own good. I just want to protect you from him," Thomas said, his eyes holding genuine care.

He leaned forward and hugged me, tears flowing down onto his jacket.

"I'm just protecting you," he whispered.

Chills raced down my spine as I stared at the picture of me and Thomas, the one that had caught my eye when I'd first gotten home.

"Ambrosia? What're you doing?" A voice asked.

My breathe caught in my throat as I stared at the reflection in the glass.

The figure was familiar and menacing.

"N-nothing," I stammered, snapping my head around.

"Something wrong? You seem scared," Thomas said, his eyes dark.
