His eyes widened and he stepped closer.
"Amb is that...is that what you really think?" Percy asked, taking another step closer.
"Stop!" I said , sliding my legs over the edge of the bed.
"Ambrosia you're not strong enough-" he rushed forward and I smacked his hand away.
He looked stunned but he backed away.
"I'm...I'm leaving," I said, strength returning to my muscles.
I stumbled down the hallway, yanking open the door. Percy followed me, grabbing a coat off the rack.
He draped it over my shoulders. I whipped around, shrugging it off.
"Don't touch me," I said.
"Amb..."
"You lied to me Percy. You left me with Thomas, left me to fend for myself-"
"I was protecting you!"
"You did nothing! Don't ever say you defended me!"
"He threatened you Ambrosia. Said if I warned you, he'd kill you," Percy said, desperate.
My eyes darted from his eyes to his lips and my expression hardened.
"Goodbye Percy," I said, backing away.
Percy watched me go, but made no move to follow me.
I started humming softly and walked far, far past Percy's and Thomas' houses.
As I walked away, I stumbled and a strong pair of hands caught me.
"You look like hell," a smooth male voice said.
"You have no idea," I replied, looking up.
A pair of electric blue eyes and a blinding white smile met my eyes.
"You sure you ok?" The stranger asked.
"Some ice cream would make it better," I said.
The stranger laughed, a deep heart-full sound.
"You like English toffee? It's my favorite," the stranger said, walking alongside me with his hands in his pockets.
I smiled, but said nothing.
"My names Lowell by the way. Mind telling me yours?" He said, looking over at me.
"Ambrosia," I whispered.
"Ambrosia huh? Unusual. But I like it." He turned and smiled at me.
My eyes widened and I looked away, blushing as I felt my heart give a little squeeze.
And I wondered if maybe my heart wasn't bound to just Percy and Thomas.
