Chapter 12

With butterflies in his stomach and a racing heart, Lukas leans in a presses his lips against Jesse's. Jesse holds his face as the both share the bliss of their first ever kiss. The kiss was passionate but it was also like a normal kiss. Sunset colored sparkles and purple sparkles surrounded them then they both pulled away. Lukas stands up and helps Jesse stand. They were both blushing like crazy. "Um... Lets go talk, in private..." Jesse murmurs and Lukas nods. "Yeah.." He agrees and they both look away from each other. Everyone would tell they were both clearly embarrassed but nobody knew why, except for them.

As they sit down on a bench, Lukas looks at the ground. Jesse looks at the sky before saying, "you wanted to talk to me?" The blonde does not answer and Jesse takes his silence as an act of nervousness. "Maybe I shouldn't have leaned in to kiss you..." Jesse sighs. "What? No, Jesse, I'm glad you did that but that was... it was my first kiss." Jesse looks at him and kisses his cheek, causing him to look at her. "It was my first kiss as well. Now, can you tell me everything I need to know for the Sunset Festival?" Lukas smiles as Jesse says that. "Okay, first... No dark clothes and you have to wear your hear up. You have to wear this in your hair," Lukas pulls put an object from his pocket and gives Jesse a small box, "You have to show up around 5:45 pm because that is when the festivities start. We can share a few dances and such then you have to meet my mother." Jesse's face, which is already pale, turns pure white. "I don't know if... if I can meet her..." Jesse gulps and Lukas puts a hand on her face. "Jesse, please show up. Look, if anything happens, I will protect you. I promise." He pecks her lips.

"Hey, your the pale girl's friend right?" Aiden walks over to Olivia.
"Yeah.. The name's Olivia and that 'pale girl' has a name." Olivia tightens her cloak.
"And what would that be?" Gil leans against a tree.
"It is pri-- JESSE! It's Jesse." Olivia gulps.
"Oh. That's a nice name." Gil smiles and looks over at the blonde and black haired couple.
"Hey, any chance you know why they looked embarrassed?" Aiden asks.
"Well, I know why Jesse was embarrassed. That was her first ever kiss."
"Oh! That explains it! It was Lukas' first kiss too." Aiden says before him and Olivia look at the couple. Lukas whispers something in Jesse's ear and Jesse smiles and walks over to Olivia. "Ready to head home?" Olivia nods and they walk into the woods. Jesse takes one last glance at Lukas and he winks at her. She giggles and her and Olivia head back to the night kingdom.
