Chapter 57

After a while, Lukas and Jesse are sitting by them selves and talking and laughing just like old friends. Everyone else is just talking or bowing to King Sean and Queen Solar. King Sean takes off his golden crown. "Solar, I think it's time" he says. Solar looks at him, "Y'know... I think your right. They have proven to us that they are ready. I'll go get them, and you get everyone else?" She asks and King Sean kisses her head. "It's a deal." Solar walks over to Jesse and Lukas and it starts to get cold. Jesse shivers slightly and Lukas looks at her before taking off his suit jacket and putting it on her shoulders. "There you go, love. All nice and warm now." Lukas smiles. Jesse gives a sweet smile, like a smile a kid would give if they got a new present. "Thank you, Lukas." Queen Solar looks at both of them before smiling widely, "It's time, you two."
Jesse turns her head a bit, "Time? Time for what?"
"Yeah mom. Time for what?" Lukas wraps his arm around Jesse.
"Follow me." Queen Solar says. Lukas and Jesse both look at each other before following her. She leads them in front of a group of people.

Jesse looks at Lukas and King sean starts talking. "Hello Everyone. As you can see, we have having two special ceremonies in one day. Now, without further ado, Lukas. Could you please step forward please?" King Sean and and Lukas takes a step forward. King Sean takes a deep breathe before saying, "Lukas, you have grown so much over these past three years. You have shown this kingdom that you are capable of doing great things and I know that the future will be bright with you as our new king. Now, Please raise your left hand." Lukas raises his left hand. "Now repeat after me. I, Lukas carter, vow to be the best I can be as king. I vow to take care of my subjects and not see them as people below me but as my friends and family. I vow to never give up no matter how tough things may seem." Sean, King Lukas and Queen Solar look at Jesse then Lukas turns to his mom. Queen Solar lowers her head and Lukas takes her crown before turning to Jesse. Lukas holds the crown and takes a deep breathe, "Jessica, I won't make you say any vows or anything because I already know whats to come when you rule by my side. You started out as a stranger and no one trusted you. Then you proved yourself worthy. You saved... All of us. You proved to us that you are more than capable enough to run a kingdom. I would be honored if you would rule with me and be by my side." Jesse lowers her head so Lukas can put the crown on her. Lukas smiles and rests the golden and diamond crown on her head. "I now pronounce you Queen Jessica Carter. Queen of the sky kingdom." Jesse looks up at Lukas before tearing up and smiling widely.

About one hour after becoming the new king and queen, Jesse and Lukas had decided to make their first duty be to clean up the kingdom. Jesse walks by the stables and uses her magic to fix up all the broken wood. She walks over to the only horse in the stables; Lukas' horse. Jesse looks at the horse before taking a deep breathe and leading it out of the stables. She slowly gets on the horse, even though she is still in her wedding dress and Lukas' black suit jacket. Lukas looks at her before saying, "Babe, what are you doing?" He walks over and looks at her. "I have to do something before anything else happens." "Jesse, I trust you but can I go with you?" Jesse nods and Lukas gets on the horse. Without another word, they ride off to the night kingdom. When they get there, Lukas asks, "Jesse, what are we doing here?" Jesse runs off to a patch of grass and looks around until she finds a tomb stone. "Hey daddy. Its me. I did what you told me to do. I made everything right. Me and my family made everything right and we will continue to do so. I promise. I miss you daddy... and I love you." She tears up and looks down at her fathers grave. Lukas rests a hand on her shoulder. She turns around and Lukas says, "I know that even though he is dead... he is very proud of you, Jesse." Jesse hugs Lukas, "I love you..." She whispers. Lukas runs his hand through her hair. "I love you too, and Jesse?" Lukas looks at her. "Huh?" "Know that... no matter what, you will never be alone again. You, me and our child will always be together. As a family."
