Day and Night

Chapter 50

Lukas and Jesse tumble through the glass and both fall down the roof. "Ah!" Jesse screams loudly but not loud enough for anyone to hear her. Lukas bites his lip as he holds onto Jesse then he sees another glass window. "Hold on...!" He screams then they both crash into the next glass window. "...Jesse?" Lukas coughs after opening his eyes. Glass his everywhere so he and Jesse would have to be careful when they move. Jesse coughs and slowly sits up. "Are you okay?" He asks then he sits up. Jesse starts laughing to herself from the life or death situation. "Are you... laughing? After we could have fallen off a roof and died?" Lukas looks at her and Jesse lets out one final laugh before slowly standing up. "Where are we?" She asks and Lukas stands up too. They both look around and see armor and weapons. "A backup armory."

Lukas and Jesse both look at each other before spotting some armor. "I say we get some armor." Jesse looks at Lukas. "Grab a weapon." He says then grabs some armor and looks back at Jesse. "And stop Luna." Jesse looks at the armor and new clothes she will put on. A breast plate, her red and white shirt, shoulder guards, and gloves. Lukas has the same armor but a chest plate instead and a purple and white striped shirt. They both get dressed in the armor and clothes before quietly opening a window and climbing out. Lukas climbs down to the ground and puts a bow on his back. "C'mon Jesse. Lets end this." He looks up and Jesse and she jumps down. He catches her then they both start running over to where King Sean, Luna, Queen Solar and the days are.

"Queen Luna." King Sean says as he, his wife and all the days that are able to fight stand side my side. Luna looks at King Sean with a smirk on her face. "King Sean." She holds a sharp knife behind her back. King Sean looks at her, not noticing the knife. "Lets talk this out." Luna looks at him with a smug look. "Okay. Lets talk then." She says and King Sean smiles at her. Luna takes a step closer. Before they can 'talk' Lukas and Jesse both do a summersault and stand up, right in front of King Sean. "Back. Up. Luna." Jesse says. She holds up and diamond blue sword while Lukas holds up his bow and pulls back an arrow. King Sean looks at both of them and goes to ask something before noticing the hatred in Jesse's eyes. He slowly back away. "Drop the knife, Luna." Jesse says and Luna looks at Jesse. "Knife? I don't have any knife." Luna claims then Jesse looks at Lukas. "Then prove it." He says. "What?" "Lukas is right, Luna. Prove it. Show us your hands. No one goes near you, no magic. Just show us your hands."

Luna reluctantly shows both of her hands and to everyone, in the day kingdoms, surprise, she had a knife. Luna drops the knife to the ground. Lukas lowers his bow. "Well well well. Looks like the king of the days stupid son and my daughter discovered my little secret." She looks over at Jesse, "My dear sweet daughter. Why don't you ditch these guys and join us. We can beat them and all go back home." Luna smiles and holds out her hand. Jesse looks at the nights and the days. "If you had asked me that before you started this war. Before I fell in love. Before all of this crap. I would have said yes." Jesse growls. Luna looks down at her.
"What?"
"The day kingdom is my home, Luna." Jesse holds her sword.
"Jesse, listen to me."
"NO. For the first time in your life and in mine, you are going to listen to ME, Luna!" Jesse growls. This is the first time she had ever stood up for herself in front of Luna.
"Jessica!"
"All my life, you have tortured my mind and soul! You have blamed me for every little thing! Daddy's death! The reason HE had to leave! You disowned me, and made PETRA you heir to the throne and you don't even know her!" Tears start streaming down Jesse's face then she puts her sword down.
"And that gives you a reason to run away to these monsters?" Luna smirks.
"These monsters... So, your calling your future son-in-law a monster? Your calling me and my father a monster?!" Jesse growls loudly and Luna freezes up.
"How did you know about your father being a day?!" She asks and everyone in the night kingdom starts muttering to one another. Jesse looks at Luna before holding up her sword again. Lukas holds up his bow and it starts to rain.
"You can still do the right thing, Luna." Jesse says. Luna glares at her daughter before saying, "I am."

Everyone holds up their weapons as the rain falls down. Then Jesse hears something surrounding everybody. She spots something out of the corner of her eye. Zombies. Hundreds of them.
