Day and Night

Chapter 51

Jesse looks over at Lukas and he looks back, "Jesse, what are we gonna do?" He asks as the rain starts pouring down. Jesse goes to say something but then a zombie grabs Lukas. "Gah!" Jesse grabs the zombies arm. "Get. Away. From. Him!" He stabs it through the head and that is when more and more zombies start to attack. Both the Days and the Night attack zombies and try to get to safety. Jesse looks at Lukas, "Do you have my back?" She asks and Lukas nods, "I've got your back. Just please, don't die." He kisses her. Luna sees this and her right eye starts twitching then she goes to kill a zombie. He pulls away and shoots a near-by zombie.

Jesse starts walking to the direction Luna was in, killing every single last zombie in her path. As she starts walking, a zombie walks in front of her. She grabs it by the neck and stabs it in the head. She walks to another zombie and swings her sword at it, slashing the zombie between the eyes. Blood splatters on her face and armor. The rain makes some of the blood on her face run down her chin as she keeps walking. With each zombie she killed and each step closer she got, the Days saw something they never saw in her before. Pure hatred. Jesse stand another zombie while three people watch her. Olivia. Axel. Petra.

"Guys, I think we should join the days." Olivia says as she holds onto her weapon.
"What?" Petra looks at Olivia. Axel stays quiet for a minute.
"Petra, look at Jesse. What do you see?" Olivia asks as the fighting goes on between the zombies, night and days.
"I see... a girl who abandoned her kingdom." Petra growls under her breathe.
"..." Olivia sighs and Axel looks at her.
"What do you see, Olivia?" He asks and Olivia slightly smiles.
"I see a kind hearted girl who gave new people a chance and is now standing up for what she believes is right." Olivia drops her weapon and takes a deep breathe, "This is crazy but you guys can join me if you want."

While Olivia tries to find a way around everyone, Jesse keeps killing all the undead and fighting the nights the best she could. The turns around, just in case so no zombies could grab her. The only reason she did that was because Lukas was no longer in her sights. She backs up more until she feels a back press against hers. Jesse and the other person instantly turn around and hold up their weapons. The other person was Luna. Jesse gulps then holds her weapon.

"Back up Jesse. Or are you gonna murder ME too?!" Luna asks.
"SHUT UPPP!!" Everyone looks over and everything goes quiet.
"What?! You don't tell me w—"
"For years, you just assumed that I killed him. Assumed that a three year old little girl killed her father but your wrong! You never asked what happened! Never even listened! I didn't kill him! I never even hurt him, but I was the one who had to watch!" Tears stream down her face, washing away some of the blood.
"..." Luna growls and holds up her sword, "Liar."

Jesse sighs before realizing something. She drops her weapon. Everyone looks at her then one day whispers, "what is she doing...?!" Jesse holds her hand out. "Lun... Mom, I never intended to hurt you. I never EVER wanted to hurt you... but, what you are doing is wrong. Its evil and I suspect you know it. But L... Mom, you can join us now. You can still do the right thing." Jesse gives a loving smile and keeps her arm outstretched. Some tears burn her eyes but she just blinks them away. Luna takes a deep breathe and puts her weapon down. Lukas and Olivia both get as close to Jesse as they can while everyone else just watches. Luna, instead of walking towards Jesse, starts making black orbs appear in both her hands. Before Jesse could do anything, Luna lifts her hands up and goes to shoot Jesse with the black orb. "Jesse! Look out!" Olivia and Lukas both gasp and run to Jesse. Everything goes white and no one can see a thing. The only things the people can hear is Axel and Petra yelling, "OLIVIA! JESSE!" and King Sean and Solar yelling, "JESSE! LUKAS!! NO!" Then the sound of an explosion, where the magic hit, goes off.
