Three whole years have passed since the star crossed lovers last saw one another. They had never forgotten each other but over time, they though neither one of then remembered each other.
One day, while Lukas is helping the town citizens of the day kingdom, Jesse is in her bed, sound asleep. Though her sleep is not a very peaceful sleep. She mumbles in her sleep. "I... I wuv you Lukie..." She smiles. 'The sunset gets painted across the sky in beautiful purple, yellow and orange colors. There is not a single cloud in the perfect sky. Jesse sits on a tree branch, with Lukas. Lukas places his perfect hand on hers. "Lukas, this evening is... perfect." Jesse says with a pretty smile spread across her face. Lukas does not look at her, nor does he look at the sky. He is staring at the ground and his hand holds the black and green ring that Jesse had given him three years ago. "Yeah, right. Perfect." Lukas says, sarcastically. "Lukas? What's wrong, love?" Jesse reaches her hand out and places it on the blondes cheek. Lukas looks at the ground and says, "Don't call me 'love'. I'm not anyone's love. Especially not yours." That sentence hurt Jesse. Jesse reaches out to Lukas again and this time, she says, "I love you." Lukas moves over and climbs down from the tree they are in. Jesse looks at the blonde prince. "Well, I don't." The girls heart shatters into a million tiny pieces but what makes it worse it, Lukas walks over to a girl; Maya. Maya looks at Jesse evilly before kissing Lukas and the thing is, Lukas kissed back.'
Jesse opens her eyes, her body is laying in a weird position on her bed while her chest is pressed against her pillow. Slowly, Jesse turns onto her back and lets out a yawn. "Alright, that was just a nightmare... Just a bad dream. It's okay." Jesse sits up and stretches before looking out her balcony. The sun shines into her room and it is pure gold. Jesse would have smiled but she couldn't. "Maybe it's not a nightmare... Lukas probably doesn't even remember me." The girl remains in her bed but she does not go back to sleep. Her hands mess her with gold and blue ring but other than that, all she does is stare blankly at a wall.
Lukas sits down with his new friend, Maya, playing with his black and green ring that Jesse gave him three years earlier. He is still very mad at Aiden and he refuses to talk to him whenever he is around. "Maya, thanks for being a supportive friend." Lukas says and Maya smiles slightly. "I know how much you care for her and miss her." Lukas looks away. 'I don't just care for her and miss her. I love her with all my heart and I would do anything to protect her.' He thinks but that thought does not exit his mind. Maya kisses Lukas' cheek, in a sisterly way. Lukas smiles then sighs. "She probably doesn't even remember me. Maya, what should I do?" Lukas asks and Maya taps her chin. "You should go see her." Lukas freezes up. "What? No! I can't..." Lukas gulps and Maya looks at him. "You can." "Maya, what if I see her and she doesn't remember me?" Lukas looks down at his ring. "Then maybe it's time you move on."
