Day and Night

Chapter 32

Jesse looks at Lukas, her hands over her mouth. Tears of joy start to form in her eyes as Lukas looks at her. "YES!" She squeals happily before hugging him tightly. Lukas slowly pulls away and smiles at her, "Jesse Anderson, I love you with all my heart and I can not wait for you to become my beautiful wife. Jesse Carter." He grabs her hands before slipping a ring onto her left hand ring finger. They both kiss one other. Jesse holds Lukas' face while Lukas puts his hands on her sides. After a while, they are full on making out. Lukas slowly pulls away, panting, "Jesse.. We should... get to bed.." He pants with a lustful smile on his face.

The next morning, the sun begins to rise and King Sean is walking through the halls of the day kingdom, talking to himself. It was as if he were preparing a speech or a conversation starter, "Jesse, I am so sorry I doubted you. You are now fully trusted by me. Solar and I decided, last night, that it is time we show you... Time we tell you about your father. We decided it is time." King Sean paces outside his sons door before placing his hand on the knob. As he opens the door, he starts to talk. His words are soft but a little loud. He breathes and says, "Jesse, I—" His eyes widen as he sees Jesse and Lukas together in his bed. The room is very warm, and all of their clothes are on the ground. Lukas smiles in his sleep as he holds Jesse close. His arms are wrapped around her chest. He slowly opens his eyes and makes eye contact with his father. His eyes widen, "H-hi dad." He says, but not to loudly so he won't wake up Jesse, then he gulps. King sean slowly backs out of the room. Lukas stands up and Jesse breathes softly as she twists and turns. "Don't go..." She whispers then her eyes open. Lukas is buttoning up his jeans and looking for a shirt. "Lukas?" She sits up and Lukas passes her some clothes. A green shirt and a pair of grey blue pants. "My father wanted to talk to you." Lukas says and Jesse slowly slips on her clothes. Silence sweeps over the both of them then Jesse takes a very deep breathe.

"Lukas, I'm not saying that I don't trust your dad but..." She looks down as pulls her shirt over her head.
"But?" Lukas sits down behind her, his shirt unbuttoned and he slightly tan skin showing.
"I don't know if I wanna be alone with him. He could have left me for dead." She sighs. Lukas grabs Jesses golden hair and starts to part it into three parts.
"That is true. He could of but he didn't." Lukas says as he  starts to french braid her hair.
"But why didn— Ow!" Jesse yelps as he tightens her hair to tight.
"Sorry!" Lukas loosens her hair a little before sighing, "Jesse, you saved his life. He couldn't— he wouldn't be able to leave you behind. Besides, if he did, I would never forgive him." He ties up her hair then kisses her cheek.
"Will you come with me, when I talk to him?" She turns her head and looks at him. Lukas grabs her hands.
"Of course." pecks her lips before standing up and buttoning up his shirt.

King Sean sits down, looking at both his son and Jesse. His main focus is on Jesse though. "Jesse, as I was going to tell you earlier. I am so sorry I doubted you. You are now fully trusted by me. Solar and I decided, last night, that it is time we show you... Time we tell you about your father. We decided it is time." He sits up, very straight. Jesse looks at King Sean, then Lukas with a very puzzler look, "Okay. Two things, one. My father. two... Its time for what exactly?" Jesse raises an eyebrow when King Sean mentions the word father. "Well, you see Jesse. Solar and I knew your father. You see, we actually sent him... how old are you?" He looks at Jesse. "23" She responds then he continues, "We sent him to spy on the day kingdom 25 years ago but he never returned. You see, he actually fell in love with your mother." Jesse looks at him, "...My mother is such a hypocrite. Along with everyone in the night kingdom. Oh, nights can't love days. Days are evil. You should never trust a day!" Jesse starts mimicking her moms voice then the king looks at her. "Jesse, how is your father?" He asks and Jesse looks at Lukas then looks down. She couldn't look at the king as she said, "He was murdered when I was about three or four," She takes a deep breathe as Lukas squeezes her hand. Before King Sean could say anything, Jesse breathes and asks, "Now... You said you and Queen Solar decided it is time... Time for what?"
