Day and Night

Chapter 13

Five days pass by really fast for the prince and the princess. They saw each other at sunset, each day and the next day will be the festival but the couple decide to push their luck. Jesse sits on a log, in the middle of the woods between the day and night kingdom. Lukas is sitting with her and they are both holding small boxes in their hands. Lukas pecks Jesse's cheek. Jesse smiles. "I got you something." Jesse says and Lukas looks at the box in Jesse's hands. "I figured when I saw the box." He laughs and Jesse rolls her eyes before handing him the small box. Lukas opens the box and there is a ring that is black and has an emerald in it. Lukas blushes before sliding onto his ring finger. "It's not a proposal kind of thing but I am giving you this so when ever I am not around, You still have something from me." She blushes and Lukas looks at her. "I got you the same thing!" He grins and Jesse looks at him. "What? You did?" Without another word, Lukas opens his box and reveals a golden ring with diamonds in it. Jesse blushes as he slides it onto her ring finger. Jesse was at a loss for words as she looked at the ring. "Jesse, Look at me." Jesse looks up and both of then smile at each other then Lukas leans in.

"I saw Jesse go this way your majesty." Petra whispers to Luna as they walk north.
"C'mon Your majesties. Lukas went south. This way." Aiden says as he leads Sean and Solar south.
Petra leads Luna to a small area and Aiden leads Solar and Sean to where he saw Lukas last. Luna looks up and Solar, and Sean look at each other then they all look in front of them. They are shocked at what the see next. Jesse and Lukas are in each others arms while they are kissing. Jesse has her arms around the blonds neck and her fingers are playing with the bottom of his golden locks. Lukas pulls away and they rest their foreheads on each others head. "I love you..." He says. "I love you too." Jesse smiles before Lukas goes to kiss her again. Someone grabs Lukas before he could. It was his parents. Jesse's mom and Petra grab Jesse and it was at that moment the young couple knew they were screwed. The royals look at each other and Lukas' parents let him go. Luna tightens her grip on Jesse and looks at her. "We are going home and you are getting quite the talking to, Jesse." Luna says as she pulls her daughter away from the others. "Mom, let me go." Jesse struggles to pull away from her mother. "No. We are getting you away from those monsters." Petra walks next to Luna as Luna says this. Jesse looks at her mom as she struggles. "Mom, why do you hate the days so much?!" She yells and her yell echo's throughout the forest. Luna walks with Petra while pulling her daughter. Jesse looks at Lukas who is walking home, sadly with his parents and Aiden. He looks back at her and the last thing they do is make eye contact then they both slowly disappear into darkness, knowing that this could be the last time they ever see each other.
