"And I was wondering why they even invited you two, but not Mom and Dad..." Ivy announced, pushing the entrance door open.
"Weird mission," Cosmo pointed out.
"Sure is," Ivy squinted and looked down. "Should've taken sunglasses. But are you sure you're in?"
"I am. As long as it helps you."
"Thanks!" She hugged Cosmo. He looked back at the white building. Near the door, there was a sign saying "The Problem Solving Center". Cosmo immediately turned back forward as the time came to cross the road.
"Do we get to be spies?" Willow was jumping up.
"Kind of," Cosmo laughed.
Their house was red, with bushes surrounding it, an apple tree and a backyard with a few lonely dandelions. Cosmo didn't bother greeting anyone when he went through the door; he was home alone again. Willow ran in next, sneaking past him and falling on the couch. Cosmo let go of the door and walked towards the kitchen, searching for something to fill himself with.
Ivy walked in last and walked upstairs. Cosmo could hear her footsteps as he poured milk into a bowl. Willow was drawing something with colored pencils on a piece of paper.
He added cereal and sat down. The food was not at all filling. He was rather exhausted now, but it wasn't fatigue; he didn't want to go to sleep.
"What are you drawing?" He asked Willow just to start a conversation.
Willow picked the paper up and turned it to face Cosmo. It was childish doodles of animals, nothing interesting.
"Oh."
"You want to?" Willow took the blue pencil and handed it out.
"No, thanks."
Cosmo placed the pencil back on the table. At that moment the footsteps appeared again, and Ivy ran down the stairs and into the kitchen. Cosmo followed her.
She opened the medicine drawer and found a box that said something among the lines of "anti-stress".
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"I'm nervous," she explained, dropping the box on the floor and leaning forward to pick it up. Cosmo stepped back.
"Why?"
"You still determined on going?" Ivy pouredherself a glass of water, her hands unstable.
