"Well, how are you?" She asked as she entered the house. "By the way, our parents are abroad again."

"I wonder if they've ever been to Laora," Willow announced.

She shook her head as she stopped on her way onto the second floor.

"They asked if they could for research once, but they were told it was dangerous."

"Well, there was a reason!" Cosmo's wings finally broke out. There was so much to say and even more to think about.

"What reason?"

"Long story. I'll tell you later. I need to sleep now."

But he couldn't sleep. He was lying on his bed and raging, wanting to tear everything apart. Cosmo had no clue that all this time, he was being deceived. He thought he was doing all of that for Ivy.

Should have never agreed, he thought. His fists were clenched, and his wings lay spread on the mattress. Now Ivy had her wings clipped. Her future was ruined.

He jumped up. No, it wasn't. It wasn't. She could have to take some risks, but it was anything but ruined. Archer's future was anything but ruined, and so was hers.

They won't accept you, one part of him spoke. But he no longer cared. Hushing all the voices and all the thoughts, he ran downstairs. He had to explain everything now.

"Ivy!"

She turned around.

"I want to explain," Cosmo said. "And make an offer. It's going to be dangerous, but if we make it, we'll be happy."

She sat down on the couch, her legs folded underneath her, her chin on the back of the seat.

"Go on."

The voices came back, drowning the only hope out.

"Wait a second, I need to gather myself."

"Okay, take your time."

He walked back and forth around the room, silently arguing with himself.

"You know, I've been feeling the same way," Ivy said in a melancholic tone. All his thoughts shut up at once as he turned his head to the couch. Now there was silence in his head, and he was ready to speak.

"Well, I- I found a village of people with no wings."

Her eyes widened.

"They were all very hostile to me," he continued. "Well, all except for one. His name was Archer... And according to them, most of the wingless people were killed when the winged came. They were the only ones who survived, so they came to Laora..."
