They want out on a street that was strangely crowded for a late night.
"Great. We'll blend in," Cosmo announced, then stared at Ivy, who was now calm. "See? He isn't as bad as he seems."
She didn't reply.
"But we do have cash, remember?" And then she turned to the nearest café. Cosmo followed. It was full of young adults talking over milkshakes and muffins. He had gotten quite hungry himself. Ivy was already stuck to some waiter, asking for something. He smiled and approached.
"What do you want?" She asked, rushed.
"Any drink without alcohol would do."
The waiter nodded and walked away. Ivy had finally set him free and was now looking for a table. Cosmo scanned the café for Willow. He was running around, seemingly concerned with the same thing as her.
After everyone had gathered at a tiny, circular table in the very corner, Ivy spoke.
"This has to be quick. We must keep going as fast as possible."
"And we must waste a minimal amount of money," Cosmo added as a milkshake was brought.
"What about our parents, though?" Ivy remembered.
"Have you written the goodbye note?"
"Yes," she sighed. "Should have invited them to come with us."
"They will, anyway. Won't leave us alone. Did you specify where we were going?"
"Yes, of course," Ivy took the first sip of a suspicious-looking cocktail. Cosmo squinted.
"Look, it's not my fault that it had such a seductive title. Plus, it's good," She made an excuse.
He looked into his glass and started drinking.
"We'll also need to sleep somewhere."
"Sleep is for the weak," Ivy cut off.
"Well, I haven't slept for a while, and I'm not becoming homeless."
"You'll sleep for a long time in Laora."
"Maybe catch a taxi like we did and pay? The official taxi thing surely isn't a scam," he struggled to find the right words. "And we'll pay them."
"They surely won't deliver us to Laora," Ivy frowned skeptically.
"Not to Laora. Just to another city. And we'll walk a lot. The car thing is just to save time."
Willow nodded.
"And strength. We'll also have to deal with the village people, remember?"
