"Who in the world are you?" Cosmo asked.

"My name's Archer."

"I'm Cosmo. Do you live here?"

"Yes."

"Why didn't you fly? You ran all the time," he questioned. "I thought you would have at least flown away when I called you."

"I can't fly."

"Why not?"

"I have no wings."

Cosmo's eyes widened.

"Why not? Were they clipped?"

"No. I was born this way."

"How?"

Archer rolled his eyes.

"It's a long story. You're not from here, are you?"

"No. I came here for, uh, vacation," Cosmo knew this was not a believable lie, but he didn't care. He was just curious.

"So you're from that house? Who's making this place into a resort?"

"Nobody. I'm alone here. Anyway, have you seen anyone else?" Cosmo remembered about Willow. "Anyone young?"

"No. Whom did you lose?"

"My younger brother Willow."

"I can help you find him," Archer grinned in a friendly manner. That made Cosmo comfortable, and his wings faded. Archer stared at him in concern.

"What just happened?" He asked.

"That's a long story," Cosmo replied. "Let's go search for Willow."

Archer nodded and walked on. Cosmo's wound was already bigger and deeper from the branches.

"I assume you know this place well."

"I do."

"Can you heal wounds?"

"Yes, and what's wrong?"

"I hurt my leg."

"Alright, we'll see what I can do about it."

Cosmo had a lot of questions. He wondered why Archer was being so nice to him. And anyway, who was Archer? Why was he living in the forest? Why did he have no wings? But it wasn't the right time to ask these questions. Besides, he had already gotten a lot of answers. It wasn't his visions. Everything he saw was real. And that was the suspicious part of Laora that he was asked to report.

But could he report Archer? It didn't seem worthy. First he needed to get the answers, and then tell somebody. Maybe it wasn't that mysterious after all. Or maybe it was the part that would save Ivy.
