Cosmo kicked off his shoes and sat down on the floor.

"We definitely should tell them. That's what they wanted us to search for."

"But they did nothing wrong!" Willow argued.

"There must be a reason. They can't kill people for nothing. Plus, it's the government. Their job is to keep us safe."

"What if they weren't keeping us safe? What if there's some other reason?"

"Don't be stupid," Cosmo stood up, coming up to Willow, who was trying to make himself tea. He made the water in the teapot boil. "They know what to do. We are just people."

"Do you want Archer to die?"

Cosmo hesitated. Their eyes met, Cosmo's serious and determined, Willow's sad and nervous.

"He might be a criminal. We don't know the truth."

"He doesn't seem like one."

"Things are never what they seem, Willow," Cosmo poured the hot water into the cup with sugar and a tea bag inside, then handed the steaming cup to Willow.

"Ow, it's hot!"

"Wait for it to cool down, then. But seriously, remember, we're not here for vacation. We're here to help Ivy. And she might need us to give the village out," Cosmo's wings were rising slowly. He tried to hush them, but they ended up popping up. He grabbed a tissue, trying to stop the blood from dripping on the floor, and pressed it against the bruise. It immediately got red.

"I bet Ivy doesn't need us to kill people."

"But Willow, we know nothing. Our job is to report everything that we find suspicious. I think that's suspicious enough."

"Well, I don't."

"But I do, and I'll write to them right now!"

"No!" Willow left the cup and raced into the living room to grab the pen and paper. Cosmo ran after him.

Willow locked himself in the bedroom.

"Open up. You know we have to do this!"

"No!"

"It's our duty!"

"We aren't killers."

"Do you want Ivy's wings to get clipped?"

"No. But I don't want these people to die."

"Me neither. But Ivy's more important. She is our sister, and they are just strangers."

The door opened, causing Cosmo to take a couple steps back. Willow came out, his hands empty, and closed the door. Cosmo decided to sneak in, but Willow pressed himself upon the door.

"Well, alright then," Cosmo muttered. "Have your way. And if Ivy gets punished for nothing, it isn't my fault. Blame it on yourself."

In a second the entrance to the house was slammed loudly, and Willow was left alone in the house.
