He went alone, throwing an order to look after Willow Ivy's way. He knew pointless wandering wasn't the way, but he still did that for a couple of minutes. When he realized he was walking in circles, he decided to ask himself where Archer could possibly be.
The answer didn't come. He started running chaotically again, taking guesses and relying entirely on chance. Cosmo was now desperate.
A memory of his family came back. Were they coming? That would mean risking just as much as he did. Would they dare? He hoped so, but the answer was likely the opposite. His parents would probably send the police, and that would definitely spell trouble for both the family and Archer.
Walking out of the forest, he understood he was truly mad. A psychopath. Crazy. Now he was facing the plains and the ruins of the home.
And movement. If it wasn't the village people, it was Archer. And even if he could die, Cosmo decided to make an attempt. So he came closer to the fluttering in the ruins.
"Are you okay?" He asked, standing over the bunch. A moving patch of dull clothing.
"What do you think?" Archer's voice was rude at first.
"Should I help?"
"No, thank you," He grunted as he hit his head against the corner of one of the planks. He looked surprised when he saw Cosmo standing. "Oh, it's you?"
"Apparently."
"How? You came?" Archer walked closer and hugged him.
"Yes, and I need you."
"They took all your furniture and stuff yesterday," Archer pointed at the bunch. "They'll come for that too."
Cosmo hurriedly took Archer's hand and walked away.
"I just came here," he explained. "I'm with Ivy. She got her wings clipped. We were tricked. We're near the canyon."
Archer didn't say a word; he just followed behind, curious and excited.
They approached the wasteland. Willow and Ivy were sitting patiently.
"They will kill us!" Ivy was interrupting Willow.
"Come on, they can't be that evil. Once we explain the purpose-"
"Haven't you understood that we're unwelcome here?"
"Do you know for sure?"
"Folks," Cosmo stopped the argument. Everyone's eyes were on him, or rather, on Archer. "This is Archer, and that is Ivy."
"Hi," Archer threw. Cosmo was about to sit down when he spoke again.
"There's someone else in the village who kind of respects you... Us. I'd like you to meet him."
