Cosmo sat on the window sill, waiting for Archer. His cup of tea was already finished, standing near his feet. His glance was targeted at the forest, and when the first movement came up there, he was ready. He fidgeted around and waved his hand as the figure got closer. Archer was wearing the same clothes as yesterday, absolutely barefooted.
"Let's go," he called once he was at Cosmo's window.
"Willow!" Cosmo jumped off, ran into the kitchen and touched Willow's shoulder, then ran back and jumped over the window sill. He gave Willow his hand, helping his sibling get down on the ground.
Archer led them deeper into the forest. The landscape didn't change much; Cosmo had never thought the forest was this big.
"And you walk so much every day?"
"When it's needed."
Willow ran forward, and Cosmo barely managed to catch his collar.
"Be careful, we could get lost."
"Come on, it's not even that hard!" Archer frowned, turning around at the two.
"Not that hard for you. Really hard for us," Cosmo let go of Willow's collar and walking forward to catch up with Archer.
Soon the first corners of wooden houses appeared. They looked less elegantly made than Cosmo's, the planks laid in a slightly messed-up and hurried way. However, that gave them a wild and exciting aesthetic.
"Guys, look whom I brought!" Archer screamed. A few young boys gathered around, probably a bit older than Cosmo.
"Are there newcomers?" One with blonde hair asked.
"Nah, guess again," Archer grinned.
"Who else, then?"
"They came here from the city to see us."
One girl pushed her way through the group, looking enraged.
"Archer! Did you bring a bunch of winged people?"
"Yes. I thought you'd always wanted to see them."
"Do you know how dangerous they are? They might give us out!"
"Oh, come on, Kelly. It's not like anything would happen if our village were known."
