Waking up with a giant of a man lying on top of me wasn't what I thought my morning would go like. I actually thought that Jesse would've let himself out at some point in the night. That was surely not the case. Instead, Jesse had wrapped himself around my body. His arms were like a vice wrapped around my waist. His legs trapped mine under his. His head was expertly positioned on my breasts. It was almost like we were two lovers. Like Romeo and Juliet. Aside from the pointless suicide of course. My eyes drifted to the expression on his face. Watching Jesse sleep was interesting. He was so calm. He was nothing like he was when he was awake. Jesse never let his guard down. Especially around me. He kept this insane and controlling personality with me. But last night, that was a part of him I wish I never saw and that I wish I saw often at the same time.

Only if he got drunk more often.

I wriggled my body slowly, hoping it would be easy to slide out from his hold. I silently prayed to the gods that he wasn't a light sleeper. So far, he was out like a light. I shoved my legs out under him first and then slid out like slime. I slid to the floor quietly and stared back up at him, noticing he was still sleeping. His lips were parted slightly, but that was all that changed. Jesse moaned slightly and grabbed one of my pillows, hugging it as if it were me.

Grabbing some sweatpants and a shirt from my clothing chair, you know that stack of clothes that people have piled somewhere; the clothes that aren't quite dirty but not clean either. I slinked out of my room. I changed out in the hall and walked into the bathroom, throwing my dress into the hamper.

The sound of the TV on and the smell of bacon and eggs got me making my way to the kitchen. Tess was sitting in the kitchen, eating breakfast while Jamie was cooking. They were both watching TV, which the news was currently on.

Tess frowned at the TV. "That's the fifth one this week, we're probably going to have to go hunting."

Jamie shook his head. "I don't like it when you and Lux go out like that. You guys are risking your lives for people who probably don't give two shits about you."

I stared at the television and nodded in understanding. There was another sexual assault. The cambions were acting up again. Those sex beasts couldn't keep it in their pants. I found cambions absolutely atrocious.

"Morning guys," I smirked and grabbed my mug, pouring myself some coffee.

Tessa turned around and smiled at me. "Why so happy?"

"Go peek inside my room, but be quiet," I replied, taking a sip of my coffee.

Jamie stared at me with his brow raised. "What's going on?"

Tessa shot out of her seat and ran to my room. She opened the door and her eyes almost popped out of their sockets. Once she closed it quietly, she ran back to us. "Why the hell is Storm on your bed sleeping like this is his house?"

Jamie almost spat out his coffee the second that Tess spoke. "What the hell?"

"He came over last night. I thought he was going to kill me. Turns out, he broke down on me and started crying. Then he just fell asleep," I shrugged like it was completely normal to have a greater demon in my home.

"Are you fucking kidding me? Who the hell does this guy think he is!?" Jamie shook his head and dumped his coffee in the sink. "I'm going to work."

Tess gave him a kiss and frowned. "It's okay. He won't hurt me."

"No, I uh, I won't." A voice said behind us.
