Blair and I sat at the bar, drinking glasses of whiskey while we waited for our flight to be announced on the loudspeaker.
I thought it was time for Blair and me to have a conversation, especially about my memories. I didn't get all of them back, but it was enough to know that Blair knew more about my past than I did.
"Tell me what happened back then. Did Dominick kill Seres? Or did I?" I asked, making sure I spoke low. There were only humans around, but I still didn't feel comfortable talking about this kind of stuff.
Blair turned to me and sighed. "Jesse, do you really want to get into this? You have Luxinia. You should be happy with that."
"Stop bringing her up. I am happy with her, but there isn't closure about my past. I need to know. I need to know so I can move on," I explained, pissed that Blair knew more about me than I knew about myself.
"Dominick forced you to kill her. She didn't suffer, she wasn't in pain and she told you she loved you before she died," Blair said hurriedly.
"Show me," I mumbled, outstretching my hand, waiting to delve in his memories.
Blair sighed. "I told you, getting into this isn't something that you should be doing. But I'm doing this to prove a point."
I nodded, watching as his hand gripped my wrist. My whole body tensed and suddenly, I was falling into Blair's memories.

I watched from afar afraid of what Jesse had gotten himself into. Bloodtrei was angry at what happened with Jesse's father, he thought Jesse was weak to begin with. This whole situation just proved Bloodtrei's point.
Dominick was definitely a whole new level of evil. He glared at Jesse who was tied to the ground and poor Seres who just talked back to them all.
Dominick chuckled and circled around Jesse. "Untie her at once and pin her down in front of him." He snapped his fingers at me and I tensed.
                              "Me?" I asked.
"Yes you, they call you Blair is that right?" Dominick, asking, knowing that that was my name, he just wanted me to sound unimportant.
I nodded and hesitantly stepped forward. He ordered another incubus called Jonathan to come forward as well. We both untied Seres and brought her to Jesse. I didn't dare look him in the eyes. Jesse was a force to be reckoned and I looked up to him. I hated to see him and Seres this way. Seres fought Jonathan and me, screaming to let her go.
Jonathan kicked her to her knees in front of Jesse. Jesse stiffened and leaned in, trying to get close to her. Dom chuckled. "Don't worry, you'll get close to her soon enough. You are going to publicly show us how you dominate a succubus and then you will kill her in front of us while you do so."

I quickly snapped out of Blair's memories and leaned back in my seat, with my eyes wide. "I killed her. . . after I slept with her? And you held her down while I did that?"
Blair looked at me, fear etched into his features. "I had no choice! I would probably be killed along with her!"
"They don't kill incubi, Blair! You could've said no!" I hollered, drawing to attention to ourselves.
Blair shook his head. "I told you that you didn't want to know. It was a horrible night. I helped Dominick kill. We are all at fault. If the roles were reversed, you're telling me that you wouldn't do the same thing I did?"
I sat there and calmed down a bit, truly thinking about what I would've done. Honestly, I don't know what I would've done at that moment. There were worse things than death. "I'm sorry Blair. It wasn't your fault. It wasn't anyone's fault, but my own. And this is why I'm doing it."
"Reliving that, I understand why you're doing this now. You're trying to fix what happened."
I nodded. I knew I couldn't change the past. But I sure as hell could try to fix it. And if there was a chance that Seres was alive, I would take that chance. It was my fault I couldn't protect her and I had to fix it.

The flight took about five hours and I was lucky that I didn't get nervous. I always had problems with planes. Wing, while you had wings, was a no go for me. Tessa and Alethea had caught up on sleep, but I couldn't sleep. I was worried about Jesse. I wondered if he was okay.
Our claim was faint due to distance, but the closer it got to New York the stronger it became. The claim was going through a maelstrom of emotions. It drove me nuts. He was worried, scared, angry and most of all saddened. I was slowly becoming those feelings and I had to do my best to block them out. I needed to be in the right state of mind if I was going to do this.
I grabbed the duffel bag and walked out of the jet. Alethea and Tessa yawned close behind me and I sighed. "Perhaps we should get a hotel," I suggested.
Alethea looked around, her eyes wide. "This is New York?"
I nodded, suddenly dawning upon me that Alethea lived in an isolated town in Europe. She never saw the outside world. The Sanctuary didn't count because she wasn't allowed outside. She stayed in the building at all times. "We could do some sightseeing after all this goes down. I promise."
Tessa smiled sadly. "It feels weird to be back here."
"Definitely," I agreed, "I feel like I'm a stranger to this area."
"We need to get a car," Tessa suggested.
"We'll walk out of here and grab a cab service. Influence the guy driving us to drive to Bloodtrei's castle. Build a base a couple of miles from it," I explained, already kicking into gear.
"How far is the castle?" Alethea asked, looking around everywhere as we exited the airport.
"About two hours Upstate," I replied, "I'm sure there's a cabin a couple of miles from it. We can prepare there."
We stopped in front of a man who was waiting to pick someone up. I stood in front of him and smiled, bringing out my sex energy. "Sir, the person you were waiting for isn't going to come. They sent us instead and we would like you to drive us."
The man instantly became ensnared in my influence and nodded slowly. "Ah yes, my apologies."
I smiled at the girls and slid into the passenger's seat while Ale and Tessa sat at the back. They held onto the duffle bag and I nodded at them through the rearview mirror.
"Buckle up ladies," I winked, ready to bring down the whole incubatti society.
