If there were a small possibility that Seres was alive, I was definitely going to jump at it. I refused to leave anyone anymore. We were going to start this. If we were truly going to take Bloodtrei down, we needed to make sure he had no leverage against us. This, him having Seres--was his leverage against me. I would soon become a liability. I couldn't be a weakness to everyone else.

I would be lying if I said that I didn't have feelings for Seres. I loved Seres. I would always love her. I loved her when she died and now that she's alive I can't leave her alone to that man. I refuse to let her be harmed by the likes of him.

Alone in my room, I paced the small sections of space between my bed and the door. I needed to think of how I was going to do this. I needed to be able to grab Seres without Bloodtrei trapping me or using her against me. I couldn't use Daemon's resources due to the fact that he wouldn't let me pull this.

A knock on my door took me out of my thoughts and I sighed, hoping it wasn't Lux. I couldn't look her in the face without my throat closing up. I wasn't leaving her to go be with someone else. I was leaving her to save a life.

"Jess, open up. It's Blair," he knocked on the door again, a little harder than the first.

I opened the door and he hurriedly walked through with a duffel bag. "I'm coming with you."

"What the--? What is that? And why? You're under no obligation to do so," I commented.

"I know. I'm not doing this shit for you. I'm doing this for Tessa," He replied while unzipping the duffel bag and showed me the contents inside, "Look we have enough here to take down a militia. I'm not the one to be shootings guns or wielding blades and shit, but I feel we're going to need half of this shit."

"Why for Tessa?"

"Jamie. He's in there and no one is doing anything about it. I wasn't too close to him, but I still knew it. It's worth to rescue anyone who's alive. We need everyone right?"

"How do you know I'm leaving?" I asked, picking up a handgun from the bag. I checked the bullets and then placed it back."

"I overheard you guys talking to Everen. I'm sorry. I just really needed to know what was going on. I'm sick of being in the half loop. I'm sick of finding things out late or whatever the case may be. I'm here to help, but at the end of the day I'm going to be there for Tessa," Blair explained.

"You claimed her? Or are you in love with her?" I asked, grabbing an empty bag from my drawer and stuffing important things in it. I really didn't have anything important things, just a change of clothes and an old picture I kept in my wallet. I really didn't need to carry ID or any money since I could just talk my way into anything when it comes to humans. I'll have to use the human airport instead of Daemon's private jets, which is fine, but I would need to influence someone to let me on the plane.

"Don't concern yourself with my business," Blair snapped, "are you ready?"

"What happened between us? We used to be okay friends. Ever since I got part of my memories back you've been distant. Even now," I remarked.

"Because you got the girl. You have Lux, I understand that Seres died, but that was a long time ago. It's time you moved on," Blair grabbed the bag and slung it over his shoulder. I followed him out in silence wondering why was he whining so much. Blair was normally so laid back, so to see him look like this was something that I haven't really experienced.

"But Seres--"

"Before you knew this, Seres was dead. You were okay with that. And now here you are. Leaving the girl to rescue an old girl. Seres probably won't be the same. She could even be dead for all you know. You're taking a dangerous risk. Bloodtrei could kill you," Jamie explained.
