The odd sound of a high pitched beeping sound pierced through my drowsy haze. Flashes came across my vision as I woke up and realized that I was no longer at the ball anymore. Something soft was across my body, it was as if almost I was in heaven. My vision refocused and I took in my surroundings. I was in a white room and to my right, there was a red nightstand that had a single daisy inside a tall glass of water. I sat up slowly, the side of my stomach feeling like someone pinched me a million times in the same place.

Wincing slowly, I turned and stared at the only door in the small box room. The door was slightly ajar and through the tiny slit, I could only see a dark blue wall. I looked around some more and saw a small window to my right. I couldn't see out of it due to where the bed I was laying on was, but the sunlight coming through the sheer white curtains told me that I wasn't in Dominick's mansion anymore.

I took a pained breath and threw my feet to the side of the bed. My whole body exploded in a world of pain. Dark spots etched into my vision. Groaning slowly, I yanked out wires that were attached to my chest. The beeping sound stopped, but only to be replaced with a long continuous beep. I grabbed onto the IV drip that was attached to me. I knew better than to yank it off. The IV drip squeaked forward as I stumbled towards the ajar door. My hand wrapped around the doorknob and I slowly opened the door, peeking out of the hallway.

The hallway walls were dark blue and the floors were a nice white ceramic floor. The whole place looked pretty peaceful and that's what scared me. This place was way too peaceful. All I remember was Blair running towards me and then another explosion happened and everything went black.

Waking up with an IV drip attached to me and a heartbeat monitor was alarming, especially since supernatural creatures never needed any sort of medical attention. I stared at the door across from me, That door was also slightly open so I limped over and looked inside. There was Tessa, lying in her bed, her face facing away from me. I pushed open the door quickly and hobbled inside. Tess sat upright quickly, her eyes wide with fear.

I stared at her, a blank expression on my face. I was worried. This place looked like a hospital. Tessa was also hooked up to medical things and it unnerved me. It didn't look like she was being held against her will, but I still didn't feel good about the situation we were in.

"Lux, thank heavens you're okay!" She exclaimed.

I staggered over and sat on the chair that was next to her bed. My body sagged into it, slowly regaining my energy. Staring at her in shock, I cleared my dry throat multiple times before I opened my mouth. "What happened?" I asked hoarsely.

Tessa stares at me, not once taking her eyes off me. "We were rescued."

"By who?" I asked while staring at her arm. She not once took it out of under the blanket which I thought was weird since Tessa always talked with her hands.

"Daemon, Blair, Jesse, and Roman. Daemon Petrove actually came back from the dead and saved us," Tess smiled softly with tears in her eyes.

"Jesse? Where is he?" I asked, my eyes searching around.

"He's in one of the rooms here. Lux, I have to warn you, you and Jesse had the most serious injuries," Tessa explained, her eyes meeting mine.

"Why? What happened? How long have I been out of commission?"

"Well, you've been out for about two weeks. You had a really bad concussion and damage from the blast. I believe you also shattered a few ribs." Tessa pointed at the IV attached, "That's a special mix in there that sustains your sex energy while you were in a medically induced coma. When you were hit with the blast, you wouldn't stop letting out sex energy. No one could get near you, Lux. You were like an incubus with how much power you were radiating. Even incubi got affected by your sex energy. You can't tell anyone about that."
