I have made it to the capital of Tonbarun and just like when I lived in the small village I decided to stick close to the forest just outside the city limits.
It is in this forest that I met a girl named Shirayuki. It was two days after I had arrived to the city... Shep and I were strolling threw the trees when I spotted her.
~ FLASHBACK ~
She was pulling up some herbs and mumbling to herself about its healing abilities.
"Um...excuse me?" I cautiously say as I lean on a tree not far from where she was kneeling on the ground.
"Ehh!!" She jumped slightly and turned around to face me. She had emerald green eyes and bright strawberry red hair. I couldn't help but think of my younger sister Sakura when I looked at her.
"May I ask what a young girl is doing in the forest all alone?" I ask not caring about the herbs she is holding in her hands.
"Oh..uh...I'm collecting herbs" she said
"I can see that" I say nodding my head towards her hand holding the herbs.
" I'm a herbalist" she simply explains and she shoves the herbs into her bag.
" oh... that makes sense....my name is Alex...I just arrived in this area the other day" I introduce myself holding out my hand. " and this is Shep" I add as shep trots to my side when I say his name.
" My name is Shirayuki " she says taking my hand in hers. And then looks at Shep hesitantly.
"Shep" I say and he looks up and I point to Shirayuki "Friend" is all I say and he goes over to her and nuzzles her hand.
She just smiles and gives him a few pets.
"How long are you staying in the area?" Shrayuki asks as Shep moves back to my side
"Not sure yet I'm just longing for a suitable place to live. I left the town I grew up in to find my place in the world and maybe my family" I explain and she looks at me sympatheticly.
"Are you any good with herbs?" She asks
"The old man I had spent time with in my village had taught me the basics of herbs and medicines" I say.
"Well you can live with me and in exchange you can help gather herbs" she cheerfully says
~end of flashback~
And this is how I ended up living with Shirayuki and helping her with her little shop.
