I woke up to someone shaking me and i couldn't help the annoyed groan that escaped my lips. I slowly opened my eyes to see a guard standing above me a look of annoyance on his face which quickly switched to a neutral one as he noticed that I was now awake.

"Princess Alex the King has sent me to retrieve you for your evening meal." he says standing at attention.

"Just call me Alex." I growled out as i go to stand up.

That's when I noticed that Izana's cape was draped over me to act like a blanket. A smile flashed across my face as I gently picked it up, folding it neatly. Shep was instantly at my side with a lopsided grin that only I could tell was there.

'The prince saw you slept the afternoon away and gave you his cape so you would grow cold before leaving you in my protection' Shep barks happily and I gave him a few pats before hurrying along to the dinning hall.

As soon as I entered, I knew that I was the last to arrive. I flashed everyone a smile as I made my way to the only empty chair that was conveniently right beside Izana. I place his folded cape on top of his head as I pass, earning terribly concealed giggles as I took a seat beside him. Suppressing my own grin as i see his slightly embarrassed face.

I lean in just close enough so the others can't hear me. "Thanks for the blanket" i almost giggle as his face turns a darker shade of red.

As I turn my attention to the rest of the people around the table I can't help but notice them all staring at me with smirks on their faces. I swifty eat before taking my leave. Heading to my chambers for the time being.

An hour after the night sky settled and the castle became eerily silent, I made my way out to the castle wall where I knew nobody would be patrolling tonight. I was surprised to find Izana leaning against the wall as if he was waiting for me. I try to leave before he had a chance to spot me but i managed to trip over a large rock that was conveniently in my path.

"Queen Helen told me you would try and leave" Izanas voice carried across the small distance between us. His piercing blue eyes seeming to shine in the darkness.

"Who said i was leaving?" I ask cursing myself for letting my intentions slip without knowing.

"She told me that because you appear to dislike being royalty that you would use the dark of night to slip away" he relays what Nana had told him and I had to admit that was on point with how my mind works. "And without even saying goodbye" mock hurt flicked across his features as he dramatically clutches at his heart like it was painful to even consider my leaving without saying as much.

"I plan on going for a run in the forest to test out my wolf form and all its capabilities" I say trying hard to contain my laughter at how dramatic he was trying to be. "Since you are here would you like to join?" I ask gesturing to the wall looming above him.

"How do you expect me to scale a wall?" he asks eyes full of curiosity and laughter.

"Its a secret, ill let you know if you'd like to join me," I say with a smirk

"You would keep a secret from me" he gasps trying hard to hold in his laughter.

"Of course" i say mischievously and we look at each other for a moment before bursting into a fit of laughter.

"I'm not kidding though would you like to come with?" I gasp out as I catch my breath.

"Why not" he says as he stood up straight once more. "But how do you expect me to scale the wall?" he asks once more.

"You dont" i say as i pass him, sending him a teasing wink as i do.

I lead him to a secluded part of the wall where a large ivy was growing across a large portion of the wall. With a mischievous grin i roughly pushed him into it and a yelp escaped his lips as he disappears through the ivy. I follow behind him and laugh when i see him sprawled in the ground face turning red from embarrassment.
