Part thirty: Mission: Ask Kara Gordon To The Dance
Wayne Manor
"Damian?" Dick knocked on the young Wayne's door, hoping for a fast answer. But the door stayed close.
"Damian?" Dick tried again. No one answered. He sighed, picking the lock with a bobby pin. He pushed the door open and walked inside Damian's room. He can hear the shower on and the bathroom door locked.
|Damian's running a little late today. I wonder what he was doing. He kept me waiting in the entrance for almost twenty minutes!|
Dick walked towards Damian's night stand and saw a notebook with a list of things for women. He smirked, grabbing the notebook.
Objective: Ask Kara to the homecoming dance
1. Perfume
2. Chocolates
3. Flowers
4. Teddy Bear
5. Gold necklace
6. Promise ring
7. Diamond earrings
8. Shoes
9. Lasagña
10. I DON'T KNOW
Dick almost laughed at Damian's dilemma. He should've just asked for their help, but he knew Damian. Not even his life would get him to ask for help.
"What are you doing in my room, Grayson?" Damian asked, walking out of the bathroom on his uniform.
"Aww, this is so sweet, Little D! You're gonna ask Lani to the dance!" He exclaimed, turning around to face Damian.
He waved the notebook at his face with a teasing smirk. Damian growled, trying to snatch it back, but Dick was fast enough to prevent that.
"Can you keep your mouth shut? I don't want to look like a fool when I ask her!" He scoffed.
Dick smiled and looked at the notebook.
"You know, Damian. You shouldn't buy her any of these, except for the lasagña and the gold necklace. That would be beautiful!" He said with a wide smile.
"Then what should I get her?" Damian asked.
"You're her best friend. I bet you already know what to get her." Dick said, smiling big.
He put the notebook back on the table and walked past Damian to the door.
"Oh, and you should hurry. Kara's been waiting for you for almost thirty minutes."
"Shoot!"
|Honestly, I'll be super late for school. If he's not yet here in ten minutes, I'll go on my own.|
"I am so gonna kill that boy." She muttered, walking in the school.
"Kara! Wait!" Damian yelled, running towards her.
Kara stopped walking and groaned in annoyance. A small smirk replaced her frown, her mind thinking of something else. She continued walking, ignoring every call coming from Damian Wayne.
|This guy made me wait for almost an hour! No way in Tartarus am I gonna forgive him easily.|
"Hey!" Damian grabbed her arm, stopping her from walking. Kara rolled her eyes at him and sighed.
