I'm not what you call the biggest football fan. I just don't understand what the players are and the goal system is but it meant a lot to Peeta if I came and so I did. Even Madge and Gale came to support Peeta, which I thought was a sweet gesture but also I have Gale to talk me through the game.
I grin as I walk to the side lines where Peeta stands in his uniform, he smiles when he sees me approaching. When I finally reach him, I don't hesitate to pull him in for a kiss, I deepen it by grabbing his face which earns a few whistles from his team mates.
"What was that for?" He asks with a grin
"A good luck kiss. In hopes that you win this game" I reply, he pulls me against him
"You're all I need. Having you here is more than enough" he says
"Well, something to help with the luck. Imagine me naked... or in those red lace underwear you love so much, the same ones that I may or may not be wearing right now. Which you'll be taking off later tonight, no matter who wins or loses" I whisper against his ear
"Shit, Katniss. Try not to make me drag you away. So, you'll be okay with being a girlfriend to a guy on the losing team" Peeta teases
"Think of it this way... you guys lose... we'll have mind-blowing sex to cheer you up. If you win... we'll have mind-blowing celebratory sex. It's a win win for Peeta Mellark" I grin at his widened eyes
"Do you think we can get away with it now?" He asks
"Come on, Mellark. It's time" his teammate says dragging away, he looks at me like he's losing the lottery, I join Gale and Madge with an amused smile
"What'd you say to him?" Madge chuckles
"Just that I hope that he wins" I reply, which in a sense is partly true, they just don't need to know the other part of the conversation.
It's not a surprise when Peeta is on top of his game and gets his team the winning point, I cheered the loudest when he got it within the goal, I smiled as his team surrounded him but his eyes found mine in the crowd.
"It's nice having the house to ourselves" Peeta says, kissing my neck
"You are unbelievable" I chuckle
"I know... I've got something for you" he says reaching for his jeans on the floor and taking out a pendent, I gasp and sit up
"This is for our five months of being together but also... it's a reminder to you on what you won't forget, the people who'll always love you" he explains, I inspect the pendent which has intercet patterns, I open it to see one side of the both of us together and the other side is my parents and sister, it's so simple yet so beautiful
"Peeta... it's beautiful" I reply and he moves my hair over my shoulder before clipping it together leaving it resting just above the valley of my breasts, we lay back to the position as we were before
"I'm glad you never gave up on me. I was in a dark place up until that point..." I admit
"There was no way that I would give up on you... I wanted you by my side and in my life, forever" he replies and I smile
"I like the sound of that" I sigh, silently hoping that what he says is true.

"Katniss... can I talk to you? Alone?" Leevy asks as I sit at the table eating breakfast with Peeta, I nod and follow her into the living room
"I... I made an appointment to Planned Parenthood, I can't have a baby born into a life where it's father doesn't love them or their mother, a baby needs to be loved by two parents. I just... I could do with your support on this" she explains
