I Love You

There was an awkward silence for a minute.

"I'm sorry." I speak up.

"For what?" Hayes asks confused.

"For cheating on you and hurting you." I say.

Hayes grabs my face and turns it towards him.

"Don't ever say you're sorry for what happened. You didn't cheat on me. You were raped, you didn't want that to happen. I was hurt because I thought you chose to do that. But now I know the truth." Hayes tells me.

"I lost my virginity to a random guy! It should of been to someone special like you. Now you're not going to want me like you used too and I miss you so bad. I would never purposefully cheat on you because I never want to see you hurt like that again and I-" I was cut off my his lips crashing onto mine.

The kiss ends and I look at him confused.

"Sophia don't feel bad. I didn't notice something was wrong with my girlfriend. You didn't do anything to hurt me. I just believed the lies like an idiot and then got hurt. I don't care if he took your virginity, you are not a slut or anything like that, and it wasn't your choice. You are still just as innocent and perfect as you were before that night." He says.

"Of course I want you! I've always wanted you and even when I was upset I still wanted you in my life. Technically we never broke up so you're still my girlfriend and...I love you." he says looking into my eyes.

"I love you too." I managed to get out.

Hayes pulled me onto his lap and kissed my cheek.

"I promise I will always protect you and see through your lies. Even if you don't want me to know I will so that I can make it better. I will always love you." Hayes whispers.

I feel so calm and relaxed. I'm happy Hayes and I are going back to the way things were before. I hear him chuckle a bit.

"What?" I ask looking up at him.

"I could feel you relax when I was talking to you. You're so cute." He smiles.

I giggle a bit and then the boys come in and put 'Grown Ups 2' on the tv. Hayes wraps us in a blanket. We eat chips and candy and watch more movies the rest of the day until it is 10pm. I am starting to fall asleep on Hayes's lap. The last movie ends and the boys start to clean up. I sit up so I can help them, but Hayes pulls me back down.

"No you're going to bed. You're sleeping with me tonight." Hayes says.

"Okay." I whisper.

Hayes carries me to his bunk and is laying down with me on top of him. He is holding me tight but not enough to hurt me.

"Goodnight" I whisper.

I feel him smiling against my head.

"Goodnight baby girl" Hayes says giving me one last kiss and then we fall asleep.
