"Good morning, everyone. It is currently 9:00 in the morning. This is for all of you guys who start late or just listen to the radio during the day. It's a beautiful day today and I felt rejuvenated after a good night sleep. I hope everyone is having a great morning today," I say cheerfully into the mic. I read off today's script. "I see that today is full of a lot of news about our favorite celebrities and idols. I can't wait to see what is in store. Our first song for the day is something to wake everyone up. It's only halfway through the week, but we got this right?"
The PD turns off my mic and plays the first song by B.A.P. called "Wake Me Up". Seems quite fitting if I do say so myself.
"How is your morning?" I ask him. He smiles.
"It's alright. Seems like any other morning," he shrugs. "You seem to be in a good mood."
"I am. I don't know what it is, but I just woke up happy," I explain to him.
"You've gained attention these past few weeks though. A lot of people have been tuning in since we started," he informs me. I cringe at the thought of what sparked it. He chuckles, "Being connected to a few celebrities has definitely worked for the better."
"Right," I laugh dryly. "I never knew those fans would even have me in the tabloids."
"Luckily it wasn't you. Neither of us would have a peaceful day at work," he nods. I chuckle awkwardly and nod looking away. Only those involved know the truth, so all I could do was smile and nod.
"I'm sure. The attention I've gotten just from being a speculation is already overwhelming. Lucky for me there are only a few public videos or images of myself. If there were any more- especially recent ones- I would have a lot of run-ins with fans," I sigh. I've always loved communicating with them, but only behind a mic. I haven't changed that much from then, but even at this older age, my features have changed even in the slightest of ways. I gained weight since my move. I've gotten lazy and inactive. The only workout I get is walking around the city, going to the store, and picking up Miguel.
"The song is almost over. We just played G Dragon's 'Untitled, 2014'," he informs me. I nod and look back at my script.
"Are you guys awake yet? G Dragon-ssi never disappoints. I went to his concert here and it was amazing! If you guys went or heard about it, you know what I'm talking about," I smile. I read some of the live comments. "Some of you guys are asking if I went alone. No, I did not go alone. I went with a very close friend of mine. She is the bigger fan between the two of us."
I read some of the comments out loud and comment back to them. I go on with the script for the day and often go on song breaks and commercial breaks.
"A lot of them are asking if you will go to Kcon again," the PD points out. "When did you go?"
"I went to the one in LA once," I tell him. He nods and goes quiet. The commercial comes to an end and I go back on air. "The producer and I were just discussing some of the comments you guys are having. A lot of you are asking if I will be doing a special for Kcon this year since I am back on the radio. As far as I know guys, I will not be going this year. I went to the one in LA last time because that's where I lived. I am here in Korea and I want to reach out in events here in Korea. Speaking of, we are giving a couple of goodies of your favorite idols. To find out who, wait until after I come back from this next hit by Red Velvet. Here is their latest single 'Rookie'."
My phone lights up and I look over and my eyes widen at the sender. I grab my phone and smile as I open the message.
'Heard you are on the radio again. Turned it on as soon as I could. Congratulations. I hope we get a great comeback like you did. Let's meet up? - Aron'
