"It's a great opportunity for you," JYP urges.
"How long do I have to make a decision," I ask.
"Mmm," he hums before giving an estimate. "Soon. Not to long. Maybe two-three days. They start recording two days after that. Gives you enough time to associate yourself with the staff."
"I'll get back to you," I tell him.
"Alright, just don't take too long," he says. I tell him not to worry and end the call. I put my phone down and sigh. Since JB had gotten better and is joining them again, I've been idle.
I glance at the clock and smile. It's about time Miguel gets out of school. I finish my cup of coffee and toss it in the trash before exiting the café and heading towards his school. I wait outside with the other mothers and look out for Miguel.
"Excuse me, are you Miguel's sister?" One mother comes to ask me. I look up to her and she is with another mother. I bow in greeting and give a shy smile.
"No, I'm not," I confess. I knew my relationship with Miguel is highly frowned upon in the Korean culture. I'm a mother at this age and a single mom at that. I wasn't to sure about the fact that I took him in changes anything, but I knew I'd definitely be looked at differently. "I'm his mother."
"Oh? You look so young!" The other mother comments.
"We're the mothers of Donghwa and Joon Soo," the first one tells me.
"Ahh, Donghwa is the seat mate of Miguel," I say. "I've heard so much about both of them. They've become great friends."
"Ne, ne. They tell me you're from the states." They say more than ask
"Yes, we moved here not long ago," I tell them. They seemed amazed. We talk a bit more before the kids start coming out. I meet the kids briefly before saying, "It was nice meeting you!"
"You too! We should have a play date one day," they suggest. I agree and nod. We go our separate ways and I walk with Miguel down the road. I take his backpack and wear it myself.
"Want to eat mango patbingsu?" I ask as we walk down the street.
"Ne!" He responds cheerfully. I smile down at him and ruffle his hair. He whines and fixes it and I chuckle.
When we settle at a table a watch him eat happily. As much as I love spending all my time with him I knew I had to get a proper job. I sigh and smile at Miguel as I wipe off food from the side of his mouth.
"Aigoo, you're such a messy eater," I chuckle. He giggles and smiles. After some thought I decide to talk with him. "Hey, Hun?"
"Hm?" He hums.
"Remember when I spoke to you the other day," I start. He looks up at me and nods. "Well, I got an offer for a show. I'll just be assisting and I will be busy."
"It's okay, momma," he quickly reassures me. My shoulders drop and I wonder how blessed I was for being given such an amazing son. "I'm okay. I told my friends that you use to be on the radio and interviewed a bunch of celebrities and they were all excited!"
"You didn't tell them about your Uncle Mark right?" My eyes widen at the chance.
"No, momma. You told me not to," he tells me.
"Okay, good. If I'm really busy stay with your friends and their parents okay? I'll talk to them when I have the chance," I explain to him. He nods and continues to eat. "Make sure you wash up if I'm to tired to help you. Do your homework and don't be afraid to ask your teachers. Make sure to stay away from strangers and always be safe. Hold hands while crossing the street, look both ways. Walk in areas you are familiar with please-"
"Momma, I know this," he cuts me off. I stop myself and smile.
"I know, I know. I'm sorry. I just want to go over everything. I know you'll behave and everything. It's just so I can please myself," I admit. He nods and finishes the food. "Done? Want to head home now?"
"Can we go to the big building and see them practice?" He asks.
"You know your uncles are away. Who do you want to see?" I ask.
"The aunties!" He cheers.
"The aunties? Miss A aunties?" I ask already knowing how fond he's become of them.
"Yeah! Aunty Min was helping me with my Korean!" He says.
"We'll see. You need to finish your homework first," I tell him.
"They can help me!!" He excuses.
"Let me call ahead okay?" I tell him. He nods and bounces on his seat.
I call one of the employees I've come to befriend since my many visits at the company.
"Chingu~ah!" Her voice rings in my ear.
"Annyeong!" I greet back.
"What's up?" She asks. I could hear voices in the back and I know she's in the middle of class.
"Are you free? Is everything okay over there?" I ask.
"I'm in the middle of class, but you called right on time for a break. Everything is okay over here. Why? You and Miguel coming over?" She's quick to catch on.
"Yeah he wants to see everyone. How are the Miss A unnies?" Miguel's ears perk at the name.
"They're busy. Haven't been able to see them much. Everyone has been busy really. Some have promotions, others have movies or dramas. I mean there are a few who are free, but for the most part you won't see many just sitting around," she tells me.
"Ahh, okay, we'll just visit them next time," I tell her.
"Aww, I understand. We miss you over here!" She says. We say goodbye and I hang up.
"why? What did she say?" Miguel asks once I put down the phone.
"They're busy, honey. We'll go next time, okay?" I frown. He pouts and nods sadly. "Oh, I'm sorry. They have a lot of things going on right now."
"It's okay," he replies solemnly. I sigh and pat his hand.
"Let's go home?" I ask. He just nods and stands up. I grab the tray and follow him out after dropping it off at the counter. I catch up and hold his hand "Are you bummed out?"
He doesn't answer and kicks one of the rocks on the floor.
"Aww, Hun, come here," I coo. I pick him up and carry him in my arms. "You know you'll always be welcome to see them, but only when they're free, okay?"
My pouts and nods sadly. I sigh and brush his bangs and walk home with him in my arms.
'Would it be okay to take it?' I ask myself.
Not much later we get home and we wash up. He goes off towards the living room and watches TV. I start cleaning mindlessly before settling back in my room looking over some paperwork.
My eyes shift over words and numbers as I sigh to myself thinking of how to pay the next set of bills. I put my head in my hands and finally come to a decision.
Ring Ring Ring
"Hello?"
"I'll do it," I reply right away.
"Perfect! I'll let them know and get you onto the list. I'll talk to you soon," he hangs up and I groan figuring out my next steps.

A/N
I am SOOOOOO sorry for the long wait. I really am. College has been crazy. I even forgot about this... I know, I know, I should be ashamed. I really am sorry.
I know this is short, but I'll be writing more.. I didn't know where this chapter was going since I stopped halfway from the last time I posted.
If you guys have any ideas of what show Christine should participate please leave a comment because I have no idea. If there's a certain position such as a host, writer (shadower), PD (shadower), etc. I say shadower because in reality, she has no experience so she wouldn't naturally be getting those positions. I really do hope to receive input/feedback from you guys. Thank you to everyone who was waiting so patiently. It's my winter break and I hope to write a WHOOOLE bunch more.
Oh, and like I said in the last chapter, I have a new book brewing. It's Time: JinYoung edition. If you want me to post the first chapter COMMENT!!! ...oh and when I first started writing it he was still Jr., but i decided to put JinYoung....and then he officially changed his stage name and I was like AKUHEFKSJDBVJLN! He's an angel. I swear. and him playing the small role in The Legend Of the Blue Sea makes me sad but proud. I wish he had longer screen time, but I'm happy and proud he got to act alongside great actors and actresses. I hope to see a lot more from him.
Thank you for your time! Love you
xxdctuan
