the real question though is if they ever finish that puzzle...

------------

"Mom! Dad!" I run up to meet my parents and give them a big hug. They have come to pick me up from the airport and I am so happy to be back home.

"Hey there, buddy," my brother says from the side as he picks up Miguel. "Look, you have a baby cousin. Her name is Anastasia. Can you say it?"

"Ahnnnashtashuh," Miguel tries to say.

My eyes widen and I look over to see Audrey holding a baby girl in her arms. Have I been away for that long? "SINCE WHEN?!"

"I found out I had been pregnant not long before you left. I had already given birth when you gave out the news between you and Mark. I was in natal care and so I couldn't come out to be there," she explains. I go up to see the little girl and tears come to my eyes.

"She's beautiful," I admire.

"Thank you. Let's get settled at the house and we can all catch up," my mom suggests. We nod and we all grab the luggages and head for the cars.

"I can't believe you guys came in two cars," I roll my eyes. "Isn't this a bit excessive?"

"Hey, nothing is too much. I wanted to see my little sister," my brother wraps an arm around my neck and playfully tightens it.

"Hey!!" I tap his arm. "Now that you have a kid, be sure to take on more responsibility and help around the house."

"I know, I know. You don't have to tell me. We had a lot of practice taking care of Miguel," he tells me. I smile and pat his shoulder.

"That's good," I say. I look over to Audrey. "If he ever acts out let me know."

"Of course," she giggles. I laugh and wave to them as miguel and I join my parents.

"How do you feel about meeting the others after settling?" my mom asks. She turns back from the passenger seat and smiles at me.

"Sounds great!" I nod. "How have you guys been?"

"Good! Work can be tiring of course, but everything is good," my mom answers.

"Raymond and I have been hitting the courses every so often," my dad tells me. He and Mark's dad have always bonded over golf. A game I never understood. You hit a ball to go after it and spend a bunch of money for balls you're going to lose.

"I'm glad you guys are okay. You know, mom, you can always retire. I think you guys have saved enough to live by," I explain to them. "Look at Mark's parents. They have retired already. Well, his mom does some stuff with Tammy, but they're basically relaxing already. Don't you want to do that?"
