A/N Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
--

"Jessica!" Mark and I were shocked to say the least.

"Oh my gosh!" She was carrying Miguel but I didn't care I ran up to her and hugged her. All of the hostility and questions I had for her were gone at that moment. All there was was the joy of seeing someone missed. "I've missed you! Where have you been?"

"Around. I'm at USC now though," she tells me as she pulls away and puts Miguel on the floor. He goes to me and hug my leg.

"That's great! I'm glad everything is going good, Jes. You don't know how worried I've been!" I tell her.

"Aren't you mad?" She asks sheepishly as she ruffles through Miguel's hair.

"Yes, but not as much as I am relieved to see you're okay. You're like a little sister to me and I want you to be okay."

"Thank you, Chris. You don't know how relieved I am to hear you say that!" She says holding my hand and I smile. She was smiling back until she looks past me and her smile falters. I follow her gaze and I see my parents, Joey and Mark talking. Mark's expression does not look good. He seems angry. "I don't think Mark is as understanding as you."

"Hey, don't worry. He'll come around," I reassure her. "How'd you know he knew?"

"You guys are inseparable. You expect me to see you guys together and not think that you would tell him?" She gave me an 'are you kidding' look. She picks up Miguel and smiles at him and he does back. He then looks at me.

"Momma," he calls out.

"Yes?" I ask.

"She say she mom," he says pointing at Jessica.

"Yes, honey. She is your mom or mommy. I am just your momma, okay?" I tell him caressing his head. He stares blankly but nods in the end.

"You've grown to be so handsome and smart. Do you enjoy being with your momma?" Jessica asks him.

"Momma cool!" He says with a wide smile and a thumbs up. We laugh and pinch his cheeks making him squeal.

"Thank you so much, Chris. Seeing him a year later, it's amazing. All the knowledge he's attained and the words he's learned. It's all great. I'm so happy he's in better hands." She's praising but her voice is sad.

"His first word was momma. He enjoys drinking milk. He also likes the baby food snacks that are flavored strawberry. When he's tired but wants to stay up he will fight it as much as he can and it will take hours until he falls asleep. When he wakes up the next day it would be much later than normal. He doesn't normally have cranky days but when he does it's not as bad as you'd expect. He's turning three this year and I'm planning to put him to pre-school next year after he turns four," I dictate everything I thought she'd like to know. A smile had grown with every knew fact as she stares her baby in her arms.

"Thank you. Really, thank you so much."

"If you ever miss him. Don't hesitate to contact me," I tell her and pull them both into another hug.

"Chris." Mark's voice was dark making me quickly turn to face him letting go of them in the process.

"Ye-woah!" He pulled me away and into my room closing the door behind me. "Hey! What's your problem?"

"You!" He answers frustrated.

"Me!?" I was appalled. Why me? What did I do?

"Okay not you, but what you're doing!" He takes back what he says but what he replaces makes me even more confused.
