Chapter 6: Second Day

It was the second day of highschool at UA. You walked into the classroom and took your seat next to Bakugou. He watched you as you sat down, but then turned away uninterested. You took out your book and started reading.

"What a nerd," You heard him mutter under his breath.

You frowned at his comment.

"I wouldn't worry about him," A guy sitting diagonally behind you said. He had red hair that was spiky and kinda looked like horns, "I bet he's all talk. I'm Kirishima by the way."
"It's nice to meet you. I'm (L/n)," You smiled.
"Hey, hey, don't take all the cute girls for yourself," The yellow-haired kid who was sitting to your right cut in. He turned to you, "My name's Kaminari. Are you free later? Maybe we could go grab a bite to eat or-"
"Shut up Kaminari. There's no way she'd go out with you. She's way out of your league," Kirishima interrupted.
"Well at least I'd have a better shot than you," Kaminari argued.

You sighed and shook your head while the two guys bickered. 

"Hey," A voice said behind you.

You turned around to see who it was. It was the black-haired dude with weird elbows.

"I saw how you did the long jump yesterday; you were really good. I'm Sero," Sero said.
"Thanks! Although I didn't get to see it much, I thought your tape Quirk is really cool!" You complimented with a smile.
"Oh really? Thanks," Sero replied.

Kirishima and Kaminari looked over at you in defeat, "Aw man," They sighed.

You smiled at their reaction and turned back to your book.

Mr. Aizawa came into the classroom to start off the day. He took attendance and then dismissed you to your core classes which took place in the morning. They were normal classes, like English and Math, that every student was required to take. After that, lunch was in the main cafeteria.

You grabbed a serving of gyūdon and placed on your tray. You paid for your food and went to find a table to sit at. You looked around for either an empty table, or a table where Uraraka was sitting at since she was the only person you knew well. You couldn't find Uraraka in the mass of people, so you just decided to walk over to an empty table and take a seat. But as you neared the table, You realized that there was someone already sitting at it. You couldn't see them before because of where you were walking from. But now that you were standing right at the table, you discovered that it was Bakugou. You stood there trying to avoid eye contact with him as you quickly tried to look for another empty table to sit at.

"Are you just gonna stand there?" He grumbled.
"O-oh," You stuttered, surprised he was letting you sit by him.
"You were wandering around the lunchroom like a hopeless idiot. It was getting on my nerves," He explained.

You sat down and started eating. After a few moments of eating in awkward silence, you attempted to talk to Bakugou.

"Your name was Katsuki Bakugou, right?" You asked even though you already knew.
"Yeah, and don't you forget it," He answered.
"Bakugou..." You giggled, something immediately came to your mind like a memory, "It kinda sounds like Baka-gou."

Bakugou's face flashed in shock before quickly being replaced with anger.

"You better take that back right now you nerd or else I'm gonna blow your ass up!" Bakugou snapped as he slammed his hand on the table.
"Eee! I'm sorry!" You squeaked.
"Yeah you better be. I'm gonna be the best at this school and everyone will know my name," Bakugou declared.
"That's some confidence you got there," You commented as you pushed around your food.
"You got a problem with that?" Bakugou threatened.
You smile and shake your head, "I saw how you destroyed all those robots during the entrance exam. You were really strong. I think you can do it."
'Although I'm going to be better than you,' You thought to yourself.
"Of course I can! I'm obviously way better than all these extras. They'd be lucky to end up as sidekicks to some busted D-lister," Bakugou said smirking.
