Chapter 17: In Each of Our Hearts

Everyone stood together and watched All Might and the Villains. No one was in a fighting stance, but you were all on edge and vigilant.

"What's wrong?" All Might asked in a clear voice, "Not attacking me? Didn't you say you were going to clear this level earlier? Well come and get me... if you dare."

Hands guys gasped. He stepped back in fear and started trembling.

"Man, this is... intense," Katsuki muttered.
"As I expected. There's no reason for us to fight now. He'll handle this," Todoroki stated.
"What's he gonna do now?" You wondered.
"Come on, Midoriya," Kirishima said, "We should regroup with the other guys. The last thing we wanna do is get taken hostage or get in his way."

No one moved for a few moments.

"What? Are you scared?" All Might challenged.

Another stand off. The air was thick, and the tension was high.

The Hands guy rubbed his neck more furiously, clearly losing his mind to frustration.

"If only Nomu was here... He'd rush you right now. Pound you into the ground without giving it a second thought," He growled.
"Tomura Shigaraki! Please, do not fret," Mist guy, or Kurogiri, said.
'Ah, so that's his name,' You thought.
"Look at him. He has definitely weakened. Nomu's attacks were successful. He's on his own, the children appear to be frozen in fear. And look, our underlings are recovering. We likely still have a few minutes before their reinforcements arrive. If you and I work together, we can do this. We haven't missed our chance to kill All Might."

Shigaraki lowered his hands from his neck, now calm.

"Yeah. Yeah, you're right," He agreed, "This is it. We have no choice. We have to do it now. I mean, the big end-boss is right here."

You heard rustling behind you. You turned around to see the previously knocked out thugs getting back up. Everyone faced them and got into a fighting stance.

"I think All Might can hold his own against those two main guys," Kirishima said. He hardened his arms. "Let's make sure these dudes don't hurt anybody else."
"Rodger," You stated as you made water from the man-made river come over to be able to access it easier.
"Will you be joining us?" You heard Todoroki ask Midoriya.

Midoriya didn't reply. You looked to where Midoriya was standing only to see dust swirling in his place. You looked up to see him flying towards All Might and the villains charging at him.

'Did he move that fast?' You wonder in disbelief.
"Woah, Midoriya!" Kirishima exclaimed.
"What's he doing?" You wondered.

Midoriya was shooting right at the Mist guy's neck armor. He brought his arm back, about to swing at the villain.

"Don't you touch All Might! You stupid villain!!" Midoriya yelled.

Suddenly, a portal opened up right in front of him. You saw Hands guy's hand about to grab Midoriya's face. He cackled as Midoriya's face approached.

A gunshot rang out. You heard blood spurt. You saw Midoriya hit the floor.

At first you thought Midoriya had been shot, but when you looked closely, you saw that it was Shigaraki's hand that had been shot.

You turned towards the source of the bullet and saw a pro hero dressed as a western cowboy.

"The pros are here!" You cheered.

There they were. Numerous teachers were lined up at the top of the staircase as they stared down at the sight before them. The principle was there along with Iida.
