Chapter 7: Combat Training Teams

You looked around at all your classmates. You decided to take it as a chance to get onto more people's good side.

"That cloak is so simple, but it still looks really cool," You told the Bird guy.
"Thank you. Your costume is nice as well," He replied.

You walked over to Earphone girl.

"Your hero costume is cool. I like your style, it gives off cool vibes," You said.
"Thanks, your suit is pretty cool too," She returned.

You turned around and walked away from her.

"Hey, (L/n)!" Uraraka shouted waving you over to her and Midoriya.
"Hey guys. Wow, your costume is so cool Uraraka!" You turned to Midoriya. You closed your eyes and smiled, "Your outfit looks really neat too, Deku! It kinda looks like All Might's."
"Hahaha, you really think so?" He nervously laughed.

You opened your eyes to see Bakugou behind Midoriya. You didn't really think much, but you started walking over to him, kinda in a trance.

"Hm? (L/n)?" Uraraka wondered, but you didn't hear her. You just walked over to Bakugou.

'Wow he looks so good,' You thought to yourself, 'That black muscle shirt he's wearing looks amazing, his gauntlets are so cool, and-'

"What do you want, nerd?" Bakugou demanded, interrupting your thoughts.
"Oh- I just wanted to say that your suit looks amazing! It really matches your Quirk," You sincerely complimented.

He smirked, "Tch, of course it's amazing. I designed it."

"Now that you're ready, it's time for combat training," All Might said.

Your classmate in a robot suit shot their hand up.

'That must be Iida. I'd recognize that "boi" hand anywhere,' You thought to yourself.

"Sir," Iida clearly stated, "This is the fake city from our entrance exam. Does that mean that we'll be conducting urban battles again?"
"Not quite, I'm going to move you two steps ahead," All Might answers, "Most of the villain fights you see on the news take place outside, however, statistically speaking, run-ins with the most dastardly evildoers take place indoors. Think about it. Back room deals, home invasions, secret underground lairs. Truly intelligent criminals stay hidden in the shadows. For this training exercise, you'll be split into teams of good guys and bad guys and fight two-on-two indoor battles."
"Isn't this a little advanced?" Asui brought up.
"The best training is what you get on the battle field. But remember, you can't just punch a robot this time. You're dealing with actual people now," All Might responded.
"Sir, will you be deciding who wins?" Yaoyorozu wondered.
"How much can we hurt the other team?"Bakugou questioned.
"Can we pick our partners?" You asked.
"Do we need to worry about the losers getting expelled like earlier?" Uraraka worried.
"Will you be splitting us up based on chance or comparative skill?" Engine guy wondered.
"Isn't this cape très chic?" Sparkle boy asked.
"I wasn't finished talking!" All Might growls in frustration.

He pulls out a tiny book.

"Listen up."

'Is he seriously reading from a script?' You thought to yourself.

"The situation is this. The villains have hidden a nuclear missile somewhere in their hideout. The heroes must try to foil their plans. To do that, the good guys either have to catch the evil doers or recover the weapon. Likewise, the bad guys win if they protect their payload or capture the heroes," All might informed.

'This sounds a lot like a typical action movie set-up,' You thought to yourself. You would've shared your thoughts with someone else, but you wanted to be a good, respectful student and stayed quite and listened to the teacher. 

All Might held out a box, "Time's limited, and we'll chose teams by drawing lots!"
"Isn't there a better way?" Iida questioned.
"Think about it, Pros often have to team up with pros from other agencies on the spot, so maybe that's the reason we're seeing that here," Midoriya brought up.
"Yes I see. Life's a random series of events. Excuse my rudeness," Iida apologized as he bowed.
"No sweat. Let's draw!" All Might declared.

Everyone drew and was put into teams. Uraraka ended up with Midoriya; Shoji ended up with an Ice guy; Yaoyorozu and the little pervert, Mineta, were a team; Bakugou got stuck with Iida; Aoyama and Ashido were a team; You ended up with a guy with huge lips named Sato; Kaminari and Jirou were a team; Tokoyami and Asui were a team; Hagakure ended up with Ojirou; And lastly, Sero and Kirishima were a team.

You were making your way around the classroom to get on everyone's good side, and you hadn't yet reached this guy.

'No better time than the present,' You thought to yourself.

"Hi, I'm (L/n)," You greeted.
"I'm Sato," He replied.
"I like your suit. Yellow really suits you," You said.
"Really? Thanks! I'm glad I ended up with someone nice like you and not Bakugou over there," He quietly admitted as he pointed to Bakugou and Iida.
"He may be scary, but he's actually really strong. With Baka-gou on your team, you're guaranteed to win," You brought up.

"I declare that the first teams that fight will be..." All Might said digging around in two boxes.
"These Guys!!" He announced holding up two balls with team 'A' and team 'D'.

You look around at who are on those teams. By the looks of it, it was Midoriya and Uraraka vs. Bakugou and Iida.

'Poor Midoriya, he's gonna get his butt kicked,' You thought to yourself.

"Team A will be the Heroes. Team D will be the Villains. Everyone else can head to the monitoring room to watch!" All Might instructed.
"Yes, sir!" Everyone replied.

Before you went to the monitoring room, you approached Bakugou.

"Good Luck... Baka-gou," You half-teased.
"I don't need luck," Bakugou said, "And don't call me Baka-gou unless you want your ass kicked!" He threatened setting off a small explosion in his hand.

You just smiled and followed the rest of the class to the monitory room.
