Bakugou watched as the robot medics wheeled you away in a stretcher. As his body came down from the rush of the battle, his head cleared and his thoughts became grounded again. Watching your limp body being carried away made his stomach tighten a little. It was such a strange, uncomfortable feeling and he just wanted to get rid of it. Bakugou quickly turned away; somehow, the sight of you like that made the feeling even worse. He walked off the battle field and began making his way to his break room.
As he walked through the halls of the arena, that feeling came back. It was like a sudden twinge of guilt had washed over him, but that didn't make any sense. He didn't feel guilty; there was nothing to feel guilty about. He had just blasted you and won the match like with everyone else, so why was this feeling nagging him so much? It was annoying.
With a groan, Bakugou pivoted and began walking towards the infirmary.
He stood outside the door, thinking to himself before entering. He knew his hit was pretty powerful, so there'd no way you'd be up yet. At least, that's what he was hoping. He also knew that you hadn't formed any strong friendships with any of your classmates yet. You didn't like to attach yourself to others too much, so there shouldn't be anyone else in there with you.
He opened the door and stepped into the room. The old lady looked up from your body.
"And here's the boy who did the damage," She said.
Bakugou scoffed, "I hardly touched her."
The grandma rolled her eyes and moved back to her computer to type in her report. Bakugou approached your body. He looked down at you, scanning your body. You were laying on your back, still, like a princess in an eternal slumber. Your arms were wrapped in bandages, but Katsuki could see redness on your skin peaking out from underneath. He soon realized that it was where he'd grabbed you when he blasted you away from him towards the end of the battle.
"How long until she wakes up?" He asked.
"Not for at least twenty minutes." The old lady replied, "She exhausted her own body, but your blast is what knocked her out. My quirk can only do so much since her body is already fatigued."
Bakugou turned back to look at you. He watched your chest rise and fall as you rested peacefully. He had never seen your face natural like it was now. Your expressions and whole personality always shifted depending on who you were with. It's like you were changing to please everyone else. It made him wonder who you really were. No, scratch that. He didn't want to know. You were always just some annoying extra when you were around him trying to play nice and all that.
Despite his thoughts, a sudden urge came over him as he watched you. It was such a simple, mundane action that he didn't think to fight it until after it happened. He reached out, his fingers brushing ever so lightly against your skin as he swept a strand of hair out of your face. He tucked it behind your ear, letting his touch linger a little longer. Although, in an instant, he snapped his hand back to his side. He stood up straight and walked towards the door; he'd stuck around long enough. Bakugou glanced at you one last time before heading out.
Another weird feeling over took Bakugou as he looked upon your peaceful figure; this time, the feeling spouted in his chest. It was awful and made his heart clench, but he shook it off before continuing out of the room.
He reached his hand towards the door, about to leave the room, but he suddenly heard a very soft voice.
"Thanks for visiting, Katsuki."
Even though the voice was raspy and barely above a whisper, he'd heard it. Bakugou went completely still. Shit. Had you seen him? He turned, not sure what he'd say. But to his relief, your eyes were still closed. Your body lay still, and your facial expression was as calm as when he'd last glanced at you. He probably just imagined your voice.
