A/N- I just want to say that your comments are fucking hilarious

Connor's POV

"The wood of birch trees are used in the manufacture of furniture, toys, basketball courts, doors and canoes!" Evan exclaimed. He seemed so excited about just talking about trees.

"So, your kitchen table could be made out of birch trees?" I ask.

"Well, it could be, but it's not. It's made of oak trees. They can reach 70 feet in height and 9 feet in width. That's huge, by the way." Evan laughed.

"I figured." I nod my head to an angle.

"You're the only person who's ever seemed interested in my countless tree facts," Evan states, leaning his head in his hands.

"That's because I am interested. It's nice to know so much about something as simple as trees. Literally none of the things you've told me I've known."

"Yeah, but I've also only told you two things, Connor." Evan giggles.

"Well, tell me more. Blow me away with facts so astonishing I'll pass out." I chuckle.

"Please, try not to pass out," He laughed along, "Bonsai trees are my favorite. It's like a cute mini tree and you can hold it in a pot. Bonsai is more of Japanese art, but people refer to the trees they use as bonsai trees. They take a lot of work because you get to style them yourself!" Evan explains. I half-grin at him, admiring his love for trees.

"What's something you're sort of an expert at?" He asks out of nowhere.

"Oh, me? I don't think I'm good at like, anything." I shrug.

"There's gotta be something..." Evan begs.

"I guess I'm okay at singing... But there is no way I'm singing."

"Aww... Pwetty pwease...?" Evan fake pouts.

"Maybe another time."

"But I can't wait! I bet you have an amazing singing voice." Evan compliments.

"Thanks. I bet I don't." I laugh slightly.

"Aw, come on, just a little bit of a song?" He pleads.

"Fine...," I sigh, "Pick a song."

"Ooh! Hmm... Do you know 6/10 by Dodie Clark?" He questions excitedly.

"I surprisingly love Dodie. Of course I know it." Evan began cheering even before I started to sing. I sang a small bit of the chorus, stopping after about 3 lines. I opened my eyes, seeing Evan totally amazed.

"You okay, Evan? You're frozen." I chuckle.

"That was amazing...!" Evan sighs as if I'm glorious.

"Yeah, you're just saying that because we're friends." I feel my cheeks get slightly warmer than usual.

"Nah... Look, you're blushing! Connor is blushing, Connor is blushing." Evan teased. My face got hotter out of embarrassment.

"Stop that!" I grin.

"Connor blushed~" Evan stuck his tongue out before stopping his playful teasing.

"Do you have a problem with that?" I ask jokingly.

"Why, I do, sir. That is so very offensive." Evan fakes an accent, acting all proper.

"How so?"

"Just... because." Evan beams.

"Fine, then. I won't blush." I chuckle.

"Well, I've got homework to do." Evan's smile disappears.

"I do too. I'll do homework with you."

---------------------

My eyes open, showing the room around me in a blur. I blink, seeing I'm in Evan's room. I look around, seeing Evan working on homework, his face scrunched up in confusion. He looks up at me.

"You're awake." Evan looks delighted when he sees me.

"When did I fall asleep?" I inquire.

"Only about an hour ago. I figured I'd let you sleep." He answers, going back to his work. His face settles back into a look of confusion.

"You look like you need help," I claim.

"I do," Evan says. He points to the question he's been trying to answer, and I explain the answer to him. He nods every once in a while as I explain.

"I kinda get it now!" Evan beams.

"Good. Now don't bother me again!" I joke. Evan's smile stays on his face as he does his work. I turn to my own work, sighing.

-----------------

"So, Criminal Minds. Got everything processed so far?" I ask as I pause the TV.

"It's so much to process." Evan stares wide-eyed at the TV.

"I know, I know. Take a minute." I pat him on the shoulder, leaning back into the couch. Evan's face shows several looks, some of confusion, others of realization.

"Got it yet?" I ask after a few minutes.

"I think so...?" Evan bats his eyelids as if in surprise. I chuckle in response.

"You wanna take a break?" I ask. Evan nods, looking at me.

Out of nowhere, he asks, "Connor, you're gay, right?"

"What makes you think that?" I question.

"Well, uh, you called Seven 'hot' last Friday... A-and your rainbow shirt... I-isn't that the gay flag's colors...?" Evan shyly explains.

"Yes, I'm gay. You caught me." I grin.

"Cool." Evan nods, "Do you want some food?"

"Not really that hungry." I bluntly reply.

"I'm never hungry. But my mom insists I eat anyway." Evan sighs. I look at him, concerned.

"It is important to eat, Evan. Please tell me you eat at least once a day." Evan doesn't say anything, neither confirming or denying it.

"I-I well, sometimes I don't eat at all, but others I'll eat a couple of times a day." Evan finally admits.

"Promise me you'll take care of yourself better," I state subconsciously.

"Oh, uh, yeah. I promise."

This chapter's shorter than normal (not by much), but I hope you like the chapter of fluff
I know I do XDD

I'll see you beautiful beans another time!
