Skyler's POV
Ito ang first date namin ni Daph. Dapat maging masaya siya today.
Kinuha ko ang cellphone ko. I dialled her number.
Calling Cute Girl...
"Hello Sky?"
"Hey Daph. Are you ready?"
"Ah. Oo. Asan ka na ba?"
"I'm on my way."
"You are driving? Hindi ka na dapat tumawag."
"Just wanna hear your voice."
"Kaw talaga. Ba-bye na. Ingat ha."
"Okay po. Bye."
Binaba ko na ang phone. It's 11 AM, and I'm planning to take her in Taal Bistro. I heard maganda daw dun and masarap daw ang pagkain. Besides, medyo malapit din yun sa bahay nila kaya it will only take about 30 minutes bago kami makarating dun.
I was stunned nung makita ko siya. She was wearing loose three-fourths polo na plain white. Hindi naka-butones yung polo to show yung dark blue fitted sando na naka-tuck in sa tight skinny jeans. She was also wearing doll shoes. She had a very light make up, tapos yung buhok niya ay kulot. She was carrying a purse with her.
Ako? Simple lang ang suot ko. I'm wearing a plain and fitted V'neck t-shirt na pinatungan ng checkered hoody jacket, maong pants, and rubber shoes.
"Wow Daph. You look beautiful."
"Thank you, Sky. You never fail to compliment me."
"It's because you're worth complimenting to."
I started driving. After half an hour, nakarating din kami sa Taal Bistro. I felt that she enjoyed the place kasi she was smiling all throughout.
We talked a lot habang kumakain kami. Our likes, dislikes. Hobbies, favorites, etc. We felt comfortable. From time to time, nagjo-joke din ako sa kanya when I learned that he likes guys who have a great sense of humor. Nakakatuwa din kasi I learned that she was not just a gf material but also an ideal wife. Ang dami niyang alam na gawin sa bahay especially sa pagluluto.
"Favorite ko ito. Kaya mo ba magluto nito?" sabi ko habang hinihiwa yung chicken barbeque sa plato ko. Afterwards, nilagyan ko ng napakadaming hot sauce.
"Hindi ko pa naii-try. Sky, are you sure you can eat that? Sobrang anghang na niyan."
Kinain ko na yung manok. Nakakalimang subo na ako pero hindi pa rin ako umiinom ng iced tea.
"Oh my. Ang tibay mo naman. Hindi ko kaya yan. Ayoko nga ng maanghang."
"Eh anong gusto mo?"
"I love humba."
"Humba? Ano yun?"
"Para siyang adobo. Matamis nga lang saka malambot na malambot ang pork."
"Ah. Yun pala ang tawag dun. Nakatikim na ako ng ganun."
