Kim did go on to law school and together with Theresa, with her Business degree, founded a non-profit organization to help the downtrodden with their legal matters.

Danny went on to Physical Therapy School and got a job working with wounded veterans, combining his knowledge and firsthand personal experience watching Theresa, to help them recover from their traumas. He and Kim eventually married and settled back in Arlington.

Brad and Jen had a child and moved to Washington, D.C where he worked at Sibley Memorial Hospital and she at Washington Trauma Center. Rose left her job once again, and stepped up to take care of the baby.

Theresa met a wonderful young man at Jen's wedding who saw beyond her disability to the warmth and beauty beneath. They moved in together and made plans for a Christmas wedding, complete with a horse-drawn sleigh ride to bring Theresa to the church.

Rose and Tom tried to repair their marriage and got back together for a while. But, they found that too much water had gone under the bridge to start over. They parted amicably and were there at all the major events in their children's lives—as friends.

What started out like a kaleidoscope of emotions became a prism reflecting all the good in their lives. The white of peace and goodness was the only color that mattered.
