Standing in the doorway was none other than Johnny Ghost. His hair was messy and tangled; it was laying on his shoulders, ruffled. His brown eyes were tired, and a bloody bandage was wrapped around his left arm. He looked into Toast's eyes, as Toast stood motionless. "I'm back." Ghost said quietly, his eyes lowering. Toast blinked, looking from the bloody bandage to Ghost's tangled hair to his tired eyes. "Where have you been?" Toast asked quietly. "You were supposed to be gone three years, not five!"

Ghost took two steps forward, sighing. "I guess I had a little mental breakdown. I can barely remember anything about the past two years." Ghost shook his head slightly. "Can I come in? I don't have a place to go."

Toast nodded, stepping back to let Ghost through. Ghost walked in and sat down on the couch, running a hand through his hair in an attempt to untangle it. "You need to clean that bandage." Toast pointed out. "Can you do it? I haven't slept in 19 hours." Ghost replied. "Yeah, I'll clean it, and then you have to sleep okay?"

Ghost nodded, and Toast grabbed some bandages and a first aid kit, along with some stitches and a needle. He unwrapped the bandage to reveal a bloody stab wound, about a quarter of an inch deep. Toast looked into Ghost's eyes, and Ghost shook his head, silently saying that he didn't know how he had gotten the wound. Toast cleaned the wound up with a cloth and stitched it up, then wrapped a bandage around Ghost's arm. Then, Toast grabbed a pillow and a blanket and put them both on the couch. Ghost took his hoodie off and Toast briefly got a look at Ghost's arms; there were hundreds of gunshot and stab scars, some old, some fresh. Ghost fell asleep minutes after he laid down, and Toast retreated to the bathroom. Ghost's hair had grown three inches past his shoulders and he clearly hadn't bathed in days. Toast knew that he would make sure Ghost was cleaned up as soon as he awoke from sleeping. Toast had to admit, he was shocked at Ghost's sudden return. His five year absence, coupled with the multiple wounds he had gotten during the absence made it even more mysterious. Toast splashed some water on his face and ran a hair through his hair before walking out of the bathroom. Ghost was still asleep on the couch, and Toast grabbed his gray hoodie which was stained with blood. Toast grabbed it and put it in the laundry basket to be cleaned. Toast then cooked up some food for himself and stored half of it in the fridge for Ghost when he woke up. Toast glanced at Ghost, who was fast asleep. Ghost had dust and dirt on his face, and his eyes had bags under them. Toast sighed and gathered up some stuff to go shopping. Now that Ghost was back, Toast would have to adjust to living with someone, as he knew there was nowhere else Ghost could stay. Toast grabbed his wallet and stepped outside, locking the door. He went to a nearby store and bought some blankets, pillows, and some more food. Toast knew that his apartment wasn't big enough for two people, and so he also knew that he'd have to move out soon. Luckily, Ghost's adoptive mother was rich, and had plenty of money after her husband died. As soon as Toast left the store, he dialed Mrs. Casket's number, and then informed her that Ghost had returned.

"He's back?" Annabelle asked, clutching her phone to her ear. "Yes ma'am, he's back. He looks very dirty and messy, so he'll have to be cleaned up when he wakes up, but he's asleep right now." Toast replied. "Oh thank goodness! I know he's had episodes before, but nothing like this! Two years? That's very long compared to his usual of three days!" "It is very unusual ma'am, but that's what he said. He also had a bloody bandage on his arm, which had been wrapped around a knife wound. I cleaned that up, but I got a glimpse at his arms; they're covered in bullet and knife scars ma'am, it's very concerning." "Well, knowing that he's forgotten the entire past two years, he won't have any clue how he got those scars, so don't ask him. Just ask him if he's okay, and make sure he doesn't leave your sight. He's a danger to everyone if he's not properly supervised." Toast nodded. "Yes ma'am, I'll watch over him. Anyways, I'm back at my apartment, I'll call you back." "Okay Toast, and if you need a new place, I'll help you out. Bye!" Mrs. Casket said before hanging up, and Toast smiled as he walked through the door. Ghost was still fast asleep on the couch, and it seemed as though he wouldn't be waking up anytime soon. Toast turned away and began to unpack the stuff he had bought, smiling to himself as he did so.

Toast woke up at 10:22 the next morning. Ghost was awake by then, and he was eating some of the food that Toast had made the day before.

"Good morning." Toast said, and Ghost turned his head to look at him. "Good morning." Ghost replied, wiping his mouth with a napkin. "We need to get you cleaned up." Toast said. "And we also need to clean your bandage."

Ghost nodded, and allowed Toast to replace his bandage. Ghost then took a bath, washed his hair and his body. Once he was dressed, Toast brushed and cut Ghost's hair. Toast then cooked up some more food and gave it to Ghost, who gladly ate it. Toast glanced at Ghost, smiling softly before turning his head.
