"Johnny? Helloooo?" Ghost cried, turning his head to look around. The house was empty, and only silence answered Ghost's cry. Ghost huffed, walking inside and closing the door. He walked over to the table, where a note lay.
"'Went out to the store, will be back soon. ~ Toast'", Ghost read. He placed the note down and ran a hand through his tangled hair, sighing. The house was so silent, and it made Ghost uneasy. He had never liked silence. Ghost turned the tv on just to fill his ears with some sound, and took to raiding the fridge. As he sat down on the couch to eat what he had gotten from the fridge, the phone rang. Confused, Ghost walked over to the phone, raising it to his ear as he answered.

"Johnny! You're back!" Ghost cried as Toast walked into the house. "Yes sir, I'm back, and I have groceries so I'd appreciate it if you would help me out." "Ok." Ghost replied, running outside to get the rest of the groceries. As Toast put the groceries down, Ghost walked in with the remaining groceries. "Hey Johnny?" Ghost asked, placing the groceries down. "Yes sir?" Toast asked, closing the front door. "Can you wash my hoodie again? We got a case, and the woman asked us to come over tomorrow."
Toast nodded. "Yeah, just hand me your hoodie, I'll throw it in the wash." Toast replied, and Ghost pulled his hoodie off and threw it to Toast. As Toast caught it, he noticed a new, red cut on Ghost's left arm. "Sir, when did you get that?" Toast asked, pointing to the tally-like cut. "Oh this? I dunno, I noticed it yesterday after blacking out for a few hours." Ghost replied, shrugging. "Here, let me wrap it up." Toast said, walking over to grab one of the many first aid kits he kept inside the house. "Really? It's just a small cut." Ghost replied. "I get cuts all the time."
"Just because you get cut a lot doesn't mean you're immortal sir, it just means you get yourself into danger a lot. Now come here, I've got a bandage."
Ghost sighed but walked over anyways and let Toast wrap a bandage around his arm. Toast had already gotten quite a bit of practice with bandages just from the 2 months since Ghost had come back, as Ghost was often getting himself shot or stabbed. Toast tied the bandage neatly and stowed the first aid kit away, as Ghost sat down on the couch and stretched himself out. "Do you want me to put on a movie sir?" Toast asked, grabbing the controller. "I mean, if you want to, then sure." Ghost replied, and Toast smiled. "Alright, let's watch a movie." Toast said, walking over to the disc collection. Looking through the dvds, he picked one out and put it in the dvd player. "Should I make food to eat while we watch the movie?" Toast asked. "Did you buy popcorn?" "Funnily enough sir, I actually did buy popcorn." Toast replied cheerily, grabbing a popcorn box out of one of the grocery bags. Ghost clapped his hands together as Toast began to fix the popcorn. "Watch the movie sir, I'll tell you when the popcorn's done." Toast said, and Ghost cocked his head. "Alright then." He replied, and his eyes returned to the TV, as Toast fixed themselves some popcorn.
