Toast rubbed his eyes, groaning as he sat up in bed. He heard movement from the other room, and he walked in to see Ghost fidgeting and turning, obviously having a nightmare. Toast frantically tried to shake him awake, and Ghost finally woke with a scream. "Sir, sir are you okay?" Toast asked, grasping Ghost's shoulders tightly. Ghost just sat there, his brown eyes wide, sweating heavily. His chest was heaving, and his hair was ruffled and messed up. "Sir, sir it's alright, you're fine, I'm here sir, just calm down. Breathe, ok sir just breathe." Toast repeated, running a hand through Ghost's hair. Ghost locked eyes with Toast and nodded, trying to calm his breathing. Toast held his shoulder tightly with one hand and used the other one to run it through Ghost's hair to calm him down. After a few minutes, Ghost was calming down. "Here sir, I'll make you some tea, come with me." Toast said, helping Ghost out of his bed and out into the kitchen, where Toast turned the lights on and put the kettle on the stove. Once the tea was done, Toast poured it into a cup and handed it to Ghost, who gladly drank it. His breathing slowed and he became much calmer, and the two sat on the couch together and watched movies until they both fell asleep.

In the morning, Toast checked Ghost's wound. It was doing fine without stitches, and it seemed to be healing very well. Ghost was still a bit shaky from the nightmare he had had the night before, but Toast made him another cup of tea to calm his nerves. Toast turned another movie on and gave Ghost a blanket, and told him to tell him if he ever felt shaky again. Toast feared that Ghost was going to have an episode; Mrs. Casket had always said that 7 out of 10 times, Ghost had a nightmare before an episode.
"Do you want anything to eat sir, cereal, or maybe some pancakes?" Toast asked, grabbing some plates from the dishwasher. "Maybe some cereal." Ghost replied, and Toast nodded. He grabbed a bowl and made Ghost some cereal, handing it to him as he sat down to watch the movie.

By mid-afternoon, Ghost was feeling much better and was no longer shaking. Toast was playing movies for Ghost and was refusing to leave Ghost alone. After a solid 5 year disappearance, Toast refused to let Ghost out of his sight.
"We need to clean your wound again." Toast said, pointing at Ghost's arm, which still had a bandage wrapped around it. Ghost sighed and took his hoodie off, untying the bandage. Toast took a wet cloth and lightly dabbed the wound, then took another cloth and dried it. He then properly cleaned it and took another bandage, tying it around Ghost's arm.
"There you go sir, all clean. Now, are you hungry again? It is getting close to dinnertime." Ghost looked up at Toast, then shook his head silently. "Alrighty then, you've got to eat at some point though sir." Ghost nodded knowingly, and Toast turned to go do laundry. A few minutes had passed when Toast noticed how silent Ghost was being. He put down the shirt he had just folded and wandered into the next room. "Sir, are you alright?" Toast asked as he walked into the room, and to his horror, Ghost was gone. "Sir? Sir? Sir, where are you?" Toast cried frantically, searching around for his best friend. Toast looked and saw a window was open, and that Ghost's hoodie was gone as well, meaning he had put it back on before he ducked out the window. "SIR?" Toast shouted, looking through the window. Toast ran outside and searched around, but Ghost was nowhere to be found. Frightful, Toast realized what was going on: Ghost was having another episode. Toast headed back home, where he stayed for the next three days, worrying his head off as to when Ghost would come back.
