Ghost sat up, rubbing his eyes as he yawned. It was around 10:30 in the morning, and the house was empty. Toast had left two hours before, leaving Ghost to his self. Ghost stood up and stretched, yawning again as he tiredly pulled his hoodie on, messing his hair up even more. Ghost walked to the kitchen, opening the fridge. His eyes drifted to a photo on the fridge, one Toast had taken the day they moved in together. Ghost smiled at the photo, his cheeks warming as he grabbed a drink out of the fridge. Ghost downed his drink and sat on the couch, resorting to watching a movie yet again; it seemed to be the only thing he and Toast had been doing ever since they moved into their house. Ghost ran a hand through his messy hair, his eyes drifting from photograph to photograph, his smile widening as he did so. Ghost laid there, humming softly to himself, watching the movie. As the movie went on, Ghost's eyes began to droop, but he managed to stay awake throughout the entire movie. Once the movie was over, he got up and made some breakfast for himself. As he ate, the door handle jiggled, and Toast walked inside, carrying a few bags.

"Hello sir! I went shopping." Toast announced, placing the bags on the table. There were random objects in the bags, like toilet paper, napkins, ketchup and cups. Ghost helped Toast unload the items he had bought, then they ate together.

"When did you wake up sir?" Toast asked, finishing his last bite of food. "Around 10:30, you?" "8 am exactly." Toast replied, somewhat prideful. His lips were curved up in a smile and his ice blue eyes seemed to sparkle, as Ghost darted his eyes away suddenly and unexpectedly. Toast kept smiling, standing up as he went to do the dishes. Ghost smiled somewhat nervously, not knowing why he was doing so. As Toast focused on the dishes, Ghost stood up and ran a hand over the books on the bookshelves. Due to his inability to read, Ghost would ask Toast to read to him sometimes. Ghost looked at yet another photograph, smiling even wider. Ghost went back to his room, laying down on his bed. He was no longer sick, which was something he rejoiced. As Ghost laid on his bed, he heard nothing but the dulled sound of the sink water running. And that seemed enough to lull him to sleep, as his head rested on the dark red pillow that laid at the end of his bed.

As Ghost fumbled with some papers Toast had handed him, Toast sorted out some newspapers. Despite not being able to read, Toast had marked little symbols on each paper so that Ghost could recognize each paper and stack it in order. As Ghost fumbled with the papers, Toast turned and smiled at him. Ghost smiled back, his cheeks heating up unknowingly. As Ghost finished sorting the few papers Toast had given him, he went and sat on the couch. As Toast sorted newspapers in the kitchen, Ghost sat on the couch, his thoughts swarming in his head. And as his eyes darted from photograph to photograph, his cheeks heated as he realized: he had fallen in love.
