Toast sifted his hands through a box of old picture frames Mrs. Casket had sent him. He picked one up and looked at the photo in it, which was one of Ghost just days after Mrs. Casket had taken him in. Toast then found one that had been taken days after he and Ghost had met, back in March of 1992. Toast smiled as he continued to sift through the picture frames. Ghost had left two hours before to go visit Mrs. Casket, as she had been begging to see him again. Toast took some of the picture frames and dusted them off, hanging them on the walls. Pictures lined the walls, making the house look less empty than it truly was. Toast was truly happy to have a roommate, but something seemed different about Ghost. Toast knew something had happened to him during those 5 years that they had no contact, but Toast knew he couldn't ask Ghost about it. One thing he was sure of was that Ghost had changed, and in more ways than one.
Toast ran a hand through his hair, then put both hands on the table as he sighed. He grabbed a towel and turned the water on, deciding to take a shower to try and clear his thoughts. As the water ran down, Toast ran both hands through his hair. What could've happened to Ghost during those 5 years? And why was there something different in his eyes? Toast was so busy asking himself questions that he didn't even notice his heart begin to race. Toast glanced at the curtain, then back to the wall. Something in Ghost's eyes was different; they seemed redder than usual, but Toast knew Ghost's eyes had been solid brown since he turned 19. Toast knew something was off, but he couldn't place it. Suddenly, feeling his heart race, Toast clapped a hand over his heart. Confused as to why his heart was racing, he stepped out of the shower and got dressed. Why was his heart racing? Toast shook his head as he glanced at some of the photographs, and a memory came back to him clear as day.

"Why do you think you're in love?" Toast asked, and Ghost sighed. "I don't know. Everytime I see her, I can't help but smile. It's something about her; I love her laugh, her voice, everything. I just feel at home around her."
Ghost sighed again and threw another pebble. "Isn't that love? Isn't love when you feel so at home with someone? When just their presence makes you smile?" Ghost asked, twirling a strand of his hair. He then locked eyes with Toast.
"Isn't that what it's like to be in love?"

Toast shook his head. "No no no no no..." He mumbled to himself, glancing at all the picture frames. His eyes widened, and he grabbed tufts of his hair. "No no no no no...." Toast mumbled, his eyes widening as he realized what was happening: he was falling in love.
