Toast woke up to his dimly lit room, with the alarm clock reading 8:47 am. Pulling the covers off himself, he walked out into the kitchen to make himself some tea to drink. As he waited for his tea, he brushed his teeth and splashed some water on his face. Toast then went back to the kitchen and drank his tea, reading a book as he did so.
Toast then put his book down and laid out on the couch, stretching and yawning. The couch he and Ghost had bought was a lengthy 7 feet 3 inches long, which was much better than the 6 foot 4 inch long couch Toast had had in his apartment; he always hated lying on it due to how little free room there was. Toast stretched his arms out and closed his eyes, and sleep soon consumed him.

"Hello.... hello! Johnny!"
Toast blinked.
Toast quickly sprung up, rubbing his eyes as he looked ahead. Ghost was standing in front of him, back from visiting his mother. "Hey Johnny! I've been trying to wake you up for nearly ten minutes!"
"What time is it?" Toast asked, yawning. "Eleven fifteen." Ghost replied, folding his arms.
Toast rubbed his eyes and stood up straight, looking at Ghost. "Welcome back sir." Toast said tiredly, and Ghost smiled, holding his arms out as Toast walked forward to hug him.
"How was your trip? Is your mother well?" Toast asked, walking to the kitchen. "She's fine, lonely is all." Ghost replied, tugging at his hoodie. "She made me promise to visit her on Christmas."
Toast shook his head and smiled. "That's perfectly fine, I don't mind if you go visit her on Christmas."
Ghost's face lit up, and he smiled wide. "Ok, thanks Johnny."
As Toast grabbed the cereal box, he turned and smiled kindly at Ghost. "You're welcome sir."

"Tooooaaaassssssst!" Ghost moaned, flinging his arms over the side of the couch. "I'm boorrrreeeddddd."
"Well sir, what do you want me to do?" Toast asked, closing his book. "Can you take me to the park?" Ghost asked, pulling his hoodie over his head. "I guess I can sir." Toast replied, putting his book down. "Yay!" Ghost cried, jumping off the couch in excitement, only to crash face first onto the carpet.
"You ok sir?" Toast asked, and Ghost weakly lifted up a thumb's up. "I'm good, can you just help me up?"
Toast sighed and shook his head as he leaned forward to help Ghost up. Ghost thanked him before running off to try and brush his hair, and Toast just smiled as he watched Ghost disappear into the bathroom.
