Toast turned his head as Ghost walked into the room, yawning, a towel on his damp hair. "Good morning sir!" Toast chirped. Ghost glanced at Toast, then darted his eyes away. "'Mornin." Ghost grumbled sleepily, rubbing his eyes. He pulled the towel onto his shoulders as he walked to the laundry room to get some clothes to change into, as he was wearing a dark gray pair of shorts that hadn't been washed in a few days. Toast turned his head and went back to his show, occasionally reading a page or two from his book. It was a lazy Monday, and with no calls or anything, Ghost and Toast were lazing about. There was nothing else they needed to go out and buy, their decorations had all been taken down, and there was nothing else to do but read and watch the TV. However, this morning, Ghost seemed completely uninterested in watching anything on the TV. Toast had noticed a slight change in Ghost's behavior over the last four days, but he didn't know what was going on. He felt as though he had seen something like this happen before with Ghost, but he had no idea when it had happened before or what had caused it. Toast laid his head back, and was soon asleep.
"Sir?" Toast asked, turning his head as his friend walked towards him, his face red. "Sir? Sir what happened?" Toast asked, gripping Ghost's arm as he sat down. "She said yes." Ghost mumbled, slightly shaking. "She did?!" Toast cried, grabbing Ghost's other arm. Ghost nodded eagerly, a smile spreading across his face. "You did it sir!" Toast cried, laughing, hugging his speechless friend. Ghost too laughed, unable to speak. Reveling in the fact that he now had a girlfriend, Ghost laughed and cried, and Toast smiled at him. "Congratulations sir." Toast said, "I hope you'll be happy with her." Ghost smiled, still crying from joy. Toast wrapped his arms around Ghost one last time, hugging him tightly. And Ghost too wrapped his arms around Toast, digging his face into Toast's shoulder as the two sat there on that hill, not caring about anything else in the world. The two laughed, talked, and smiled, not caring about what time it was. And as the sun began to set, they once again hugged, holding each other tightly, oblivious to the world around them. For in that one moment, nothing else mattered.
Ghost walked back into the main room, glancing at Toast, who was asleep on the couch. Shrugging his shoulders, Ghost walked to the fridge and grabbed some cold leftovers, putting them in the microwave. Once they had been reheated, Ghost ate his food, occasionally glancing at the show playing on the TV, which, from what he could see, was a cop show of some sort. Odd, considering Toast usually wasn't a fan of anything with violence, but perhaps there had been nothing else on. Ghost was soon done with his food, and he simply placed it in the sink, running a bit of water of it. As a child, Ghost had never done chores of any sort. Thus, he was horrible at household tasks such as doing the dishes or folding laundry, which he usually left to Toast, who was surprisingly good at household tasks. Toast had always said it was due to him always wanting to help out around his house, something he said he wanted to do to "repay" his parents for taking him in and caring for him. Ghost too had wanted to "repay" his mother for taking him in and caring for him when she had found him on her doorstep all those years ago, but he had repaid her in hugs and love, which is what she had said she wanted. Ghost sat down and watched the TV, Toast's soft snoring barely affecting him. And as Ghost sat there, he glanced at the sleeping form of Toast, and smiled.
So Ghost has officially fallen! The lil' flashback was from my VT timeline, from back in 2001, when Ghost and Katrina began dating. The flashback is also a lil' hint to what's up with Ghost (Him being in love). You'll sometimes see lil' flashbacks as hints to Toast, like in Chapter 9. Anyways, I have quite a few things planned for this story in the next couple of chapters. There's 10 chapters left now, so let's see when I can finish this story! I'm gonna start holding chapters for a bit instead of uploading them as soon as they're done, and I'm gonna try to upload a chapter about 1-2 times a week, that is if I have said chapter finished. Remember, if you have any friends who ship Ghost x Toast and have Wattpad, tell them about this story! Cuz in a few chapters, it's gonna start to get interesting ;)
