Ghost was still at his Mothers. Toast had busied himself with decorating the house. He had bought ornaments and lights and such and strung them all up on a tree. He had also gone out and bought presents for Ghost. He had decided to buy some ghost hunting equipment as a present for Ghost, along with some audio ghost books (As Ghost couldn't read) and also a new red shirt and some jeans. Toast decided to busy himself with wrapping the presents up with the wrapping paper he had bought. He knew Christmas was still a while away, but throwing himself into the Christmas spirit was the only thing that would take his mind off of Ghost.
Christmas music was already playing on the radio stations, and a few old Christmas classics were playing on the TVs. Toast turned the radio on the first song that played was Carol of the Bells. He danced a bit to the song as he wrapped presents up. The house was completely decorated and seemed very festive, and as Toast danced to the song, his worries seemed to vanish.Ghost cracked an egg on the side of the bowl, pouring it into the bowl. He was baking cookies with his mom, who always baked cookies throughout the entire month of December. Of course, Mrs. Casket's habit of baking so much meant she ended up with way more cookies than she needed, so she always ended up calling either Ghost or Toast to take some cookies home.
Ghost had decided to bake chocolate chip cookies, as his mother gathered a shopping list of gifts she needed to buy.
"Hey Johnny?" Annabelle called, fumbling with her pen. "Yes Mom?" Ghost replied, mixing up the ingredients in the bowl.
"What do you want me to get as a gift for Toast? For both his birthday and Christmas."
Ghost paused, thinking. "The nicest watch you can, preferably a black one with gold, a book of tips on how to write a book, a book of ghost cases, and some suits." Ghost replied. "But send me pictures of watches so I can pick one out for him."
Annabelle nodded, adding those to her list. "Oh oh, and a picture frame! I wanna frame some pictures you took of us for him."
Annabelle smiled and added picture frames to her list, before walking off to get dressed. She came out wearing a mahogany colored dress and a silver coat over it, along with fur boots. She had put her hair up in a bun and wore her normal pearl necklace. She took her list and walked out the front door, bidding goodbye to Ghost.
Ghost continued baking cookies, and as soon as he was finished, he put all the cookies on a tray and cleaned the ingredients up, deciding he was done for the day. He then walked to another room in which his mother stored all the photos she had ever taken. He went to a cabinet of photos of him and Toast, ones that his mother hadn't yet given to Toast. A text lit up Ghost's phone, one from his mother that read "How many frames should I get?"
"Just get 10." Ghost replied. "Ok. Love you." His mother texted back. Ghost smiled, texting back an I love you before turning off his phone. He then sorted through the photos, picking out the ten best photos. He smiled to himself as he went back to the main room, the photos in his hand. The story's reaching its end! I can't believe it!
So I'm in Mississippi now, but Irma weakened to about a Category 2 and it might even be a Category 1 when it hits my town, so I'm really happy! I had to leave a lot of things behind, such as all of my drawings, both finished and unfinished, and most of my friends are still in my town as they couldn't evacuate.
Anyways, Chapter 26 will be out on the 13th, and I'll update you about the damage done to my house/town when I upload Chapter 26. Until then, enjoy this chapter! Baiii!
